Some locations can be just totally AMAZING ! I still cant belive how history can share. Have you ever been as lucky as this ? Let me know in the comments. Thanks for watching.
What a pleasure it is looking at these bunkers. Reminds me of my son and I when he was younger on visits to Normandy sailing all the way from Ireland. Makes me want to go back again. Your kids are stars !
@@WW2HistoryHunter This medal was probably found there because it had been awarded to a French servicemember. Did you find anything about that man, please?
Its the 1914-1918 French Cross of war, they are very common. You're really lucky if you find a 1914-1917 version, they're rarer than the 1914-1918 version.
I love your videos, excellent content. You are real and down to earth and respectful. The best is your genuine excitement and the fact that you do not sensationalise. Thank you HH and team!
The bomb squad probably has you on their prefered client list, most reported! Maybe after 10 more reports, they give you a "honorary bomb tech" t-shirt! Love your stuff!
Good to see you again :) Nice War Merit cross, and yes, It's a Soviet F1 hand grenade. Not dangerous though. Just unscrew the cap and burn it in a fireplace. When the charge have burned out, take a stick, turn it around and pour out the remaining oil. Then you will have a nice display item :) Great trip!
I thought it might have been a 'Hindenburg Cross" or next of kin honor cross but the hinge (pardon the term) is different to what I've seen in Google; great find by your daughter H.H...ever thought of getting her to fill out a lottery form ;-)
Dangerous and bad advice . Explosives used in grenades - mortars and other items can chemically react with metals and threads over time making them extremely sensitive to friction and even static electricity .
Nice video again! I have never been as lucky as you with that medal haha. I did find some nice relics on the Eastern Front very recently. Video will be up in a couple of weeks.
Amazing video! I love these searches picking us so many artefacts, looks like virgin ground, the panzerfaust tube looks like the soldier just left it propped up against the tree all those years ago and nobody has been there since! Great location! Love it 👍
as much as i like your exploring and narratives what i like most is you've alway got one (or both)of your kids with you my dad used to take me rummaging through old warehouses and manufacturing structures, most on the verge of being demolished and torn down
When a person is able to see and touch history as you are it is much more than "neat" it is amazing. Thank you so much for sharing your experiences to those of us who can only dream about it.
That medal is truly a Holy Madonna find!! What a most opportunistic find in such pristine condition as well absolutely amazing!! Can't wait to see part 2.
Great finds HH! That Panzerfaust just sitting against a tree for over 70+ years! Amazing! Really makes you wonder, did a soldier lose it? If only it could talk and tell its tale! Amazing!
What a great find on the WW1 medal. I read were a lot of WW1 soldiers served also in the Second World War. If you remember,Hitler also served in WW1. Are the authorities good about coming out for these ordinances? As many mosquitoes bite you, you would think you would be there blood brother by now and they would leave you alone lol. Nice find on the Russian hand grenade. I’ve never seen one before. Growing up I always thought that bombs and grenades always exploded into small pieces. Wow, how often could go out and find a panzerfaust leaning against a tree? I sure your heart beats a little faster when you find these live ordinances. Great location with plenty of treasures.
The French medal you found was a "Croix de guerre". Which was a bronze star worn by US troops if awarded in 1917 or 1918. It was an early issue and is worn with a ribbon with a small bronze star on it, indicating it was awarded at corps level for giving action at certain battles. Also for brigade, batlin, or equal mention.
What an amazing experience at a fantastic location! How in earth is it possible if you look at the great condition of the wwi thing you and your daughter found, amazing!! Thank you for this outstanding adventure!
these moments make you feel like a child again finding a truck buried in the sand box kind of excited, thanks for the video ,just excellent finds today
2:51 I RECOGNISE THIS IMMEDIATELY That is the French 'Croix De Guerre' medal! My late parents told me about this on a trip to Frace to visit a war museum. The Croix de Guerre may be awarded either as an individual award or as a unit award to those soldiers who distinguish themselves by acts of heroism involving combat with the enemy. Introduced in 1915! WOW HOLY DONDER UND BLITZEN!! SUPERB😮😧👍👏👏👏
Awesome location indeed. And one sick medal you got there, definately worth the holy madonna. Thanks so much for sharing and I can't wait for the next one :) Cheers & HH
Ich bin immer wieder auf ein neues Video gespannt, heute sogar mit diesem unglaublichen WWI Orden :D Danke dass Du uns an deinen Abenteuern teilhaben lässt.
Outstanding hunt as usual pal ! Always a pleasure to watch. Thanks for taking us along. I imagine that there is not much land that wasn't touched by war. Might be interesting to see a video on how the bomb squads operate and how they feel about detectorists in general.
My father was born in Poland 1926 he lived through ww2 he was taken captive by the Russians and brought by cattle car to a camp in Serbia. He loves watching this with me. He says your brave and bravo for uncovering history.
Amazing finds my friend, I can't believe there's so many live explosives still lying around, over here in the UK if you find one the government comes and removes it. Great video 👍
You find so many explosives I imagine you have the bomb squad on speed dial lol. Great vid and that Panzerfaust was cool to see, I probably would have pissed my pants in excitement if I found something like that laying against a tree. As always, cant wait for the next vid.
Another great video you are one of my favorite youtubers. It would be interesting to learn more about the areas that you are searching in. Perhaps some history of the frontlines etc while you are searchig?
Thank you for all the effort u put into these videos.I love them and my young son enjoys them also. He wants a metal detector now haha. Hope all is well with you and your family.
That's a Croix de Guerre! I think it was Frances highest award during WW1. The fact that it was just lying there in such good condition...thats a huge find!
That more a hot zone it's good to report those that had to be some real heavy fighting there those skeeters were getting a couple of pints of blood from you , that WW1 badge maybe french sharp shooter just a geuss thanks you both for braving that area for history!!!
Fantastic Finds but please be careful with the ammunitions and poking at things these can still explode ..... I remember my grandma always told me when I was going to forests where the front went through not to pick these up as some exploded when animals stepped or poked at them .....Great finds btw.
Hi HH, that was definitely a holy mad moment, looks like the weather was good for you not sure about the mosquito moment tho, look forward to next instalment Cheers
Great finds again man. I don't know why you don't make up a Facebook page and get on there you may get your self more viewers for your channel. Spread the word 😁

Do you ever worry when you find live ordnance. you are always so calm and your like yeah "We will mark it and notify the bomb squad and they will come dispose of it" I think this is another reason I enjoy your videos!
