It is a moderate mainly boardwalk coastal track, it does have steps, the steepest was at the start of the track. The track took us about an hour to do,
the complete track is 3.6 km return, you can turn back midway if your tired. Park your car at Nielsen Park and follow the signs to the Hermitage Foreshore Track.
The next toilets along the way is at Strictland House so make sure you use the Nielsen Park toilets first, there were no food shops that we can see so advisable to pack your lunch with you.
The coastal walk gives you one of the best views of the City, Harbor bridge and Shark Island. When you get to a small isolated beach, Milk Beach, head towards Strickland House, you can't go inside but you can explore the grounds around it, we came across a fenced off house, not sure why being in one of the best locations in Sydney, if you know please leave a comment below. Be careful exploring the estate as the grass is slippery and muddy in some areas. Enjoy your day.
