The armor is referencing casino bunnies, which were a thing before playboy & originally American if I remember correctly. The Japanese don't really reference them anymore than they do maids, nurses, etc.

@@dascommissar5264 my wife has volunteered but I also live 15 minutes away from a buhurt club that has a female team. Not much interest yet so I might just make a modified version for her to wear.
@@ptonpc yet I totally skipped the early. To me they seem like an alternative to helmet plumes. With fake ears instead of feather. There is also a famous Japanese helmet with rabbit ears on it.
