Des mcdonald, it was a goal des. And its not that hard to work out. Even the referee who at the time only disallowed it becouse millions of viewers didnt know he was running up the park with his back to play and banks and best, instead of running backwards to watch banks and best. So when it happend the ref didnt even see it. And knew when best scored he had blunderd big time, as he took it for granted banks had it all safe to pump up the park. So george asked the ref why? And he couldnt give an answer? Till he made one up, wich he heard from the crowd or moore and banks. Thats really what happend. Banks made a blunder and the ref made a blunder, tell me if it was a foul as banks kept waving no goal, then why did he chase after george trying to foul him by holding him back then dived into his own net trying so hard to save it? Why didnt he just stand still if he knew it was a foul. A mean the linesman maybe saw it too. So what if banks threw the ball to best and best did the same again wich in reality was what happend, so would the ref disallow that as well? No he wouldnt, so why is this any different? Banks threw the ball into play no matter what way you look at it. He wasnt holding it, best didnt even touch him, but banks touched best by trying to pull him back. Best did the same 2 weeks later to pat jeninngs and the goal was given, becouse the referee saw it. The look on Banks face and the way he looks down at the ground and cant look up standing infront of the ref when best walks past them and moore smiles at best as he knows its a goal too, and banks not even wanting the tv camera to see how daft he looks and i dont blame him, he just cant believe what happend there. Just tells you alot. Forgett the pele save, this is george best showing us how the game should be played. A was pml when a saw banks chasing after best when a saw this years ago. Becouse you dont see a goal keeper chasing a player in a pure desperate way, then diving the way he did lol you just never see that in football, now and even then. Its like a game in the school play ground when the rubbish fat goal keeper chases the best player in school every 5 minutes and he always scores, the way george did. Thats what its like. Des mcdonald, des george never tackled the keeper. Best went for a loose ball that was in play, he never even touched banks. But banks was all over best, trying to pull him back, infact he was fouling best lol why? Becouse banks knew he had thrown the ball into play he just didnt think best would have did that in a million years. And btw if banks knew it was a foul then why did he chase best like a man possesd and try and hold him back then dived to try and save it. Best didnt even touch banks, but banks fouled best? Why did he do that? If he knew it was a foul? am pml, it was genius and funny.
