Blue Turtle's world really feels like a real place that's ambiently existing somewhere, and were just tuning in to live-footage on RU-vid. So inspiring.
Hey Blue Turtle, I just wanted to let you know that as a writer working on my next novel, your playlists have been really helpful. I listen to them whenever I need inspiration. Please never stop making these!
The music you play is great, but your art is what really stands out to me. The landscape in this one was so gorgeous and beautiful. I’ve been looking at a lot of pictures of Italy lately (because I’m going there this summer and I’m really excited) and it looks like the sweeping, beautiful landscapes in those pictures. Your work is amazing, and thanks for supplying me with these great playlists that I can listen to whilst doing homework.
The town was fully asleep by the time the enchanted mist broke over the wall, summoning the pale echos of the long-dead past, buried beyond the memories of men...
That transition from Valley of the Kings to Neptune (41:56) is perhaps one of the greatest musical combinations I have heard. It takes me on a journey home, starting with the wondrous majesty of the Appalachians in sunrise, zooming into great valleys carved by the Tennessee River, only to slow and settle onto a peaceful home. The gentle breeze combs through the woods and glides over the lake, where the sweet birdsong and the fragrance of rain on fields of grass fill the air with a serenity I have seldom felt since.
Maybe that's why this city seems so sparsely populated? On the other hand, they looked like they were defending the tower against some other ghosts - perhaps they don't care much about the people inside the city? Its always so hard to tell with ghosts. I liked their inclusion as a narrative device though.
One common type of ghost phenomenon is an unchanging repetition of past events, almost like a recording being played back. These ghosts may be uncanny and possibly worse, but have no agency or awareness of the present. Ilthya may have been warned not to stay on top of the walls too long... perhaps, as James Donaldson suggests, only the unaffected parts of the city are inhabited.
I have been under a terrible amount of stress and just in a bad place generally. Listening to your music as part of my day has helped me clear my mind. Thank you so much-God bless you.
Yes, so happy, another video and not LOFI. I like chill music to not have a beat. These are the best early morning work, music collections. Thank you for making them.
These are the best instrumental music videos in youtube right now for me. When i need to relax i always think in this channel. Thats why i want to give you a HUGE thank you!!!
Perfect! My wife and I listen to you daily...especially when we play board games and card games like weiss schwarz or mtg... it just fits the mood lol Thank you!
I cannot say just how much having this world live and breathing on my second monitor adds to the enjoyment and quality of my own fantasy worldbuilding and writing. Thank you for sharing.
I’m so invested in this city! It’s extraordinary how just the few glimpses you’ve given us so far have managed to achieve that (along with the gorgeous music!)…it’s seriously skilful world-building! I want to see more of the city now :)
I'm nerdy enough to want to know its history. 😄 And also, I wonder why the land around it is so empty of human (or other intelligent species) life: no satellite villages, no farms, no other cities in the distance... I get the impression that humanity and any other sapient species that might exist in this world are slowly dying out. The Tower is enormous compared to the city, implying a larger population with much greater abilities/technology. The city has a different architectural style and aesthetic, so it looks like the product of a successor culture. But it has fallen into semi-ruin and disrepair. The people inhabiting it now appear to be too few in number to repair and rebuild it. A wooden fence across a breach in the wall (visible in one of the other videos featuring the city) represents a feeble attempt at shoring up the city's defense, but the walls are still too badly damaged to keep invaders out. In a scene where Ithya enters the city, the City Guard have a token presence at the gate, and they seem pretty lax. So it doesn't seem like the inhabitants are particularly concerned about marauders despite their vulnerability. Maybe it's just so isolated that there haven't been any marauders or rival empires in living memory...
The art style and thematic issues of these are the same as in the game Sable ... if you love this try this game its full of the same potential and unknown mystery...
I've been sat watching the sunset on this video now for nearly an hour and i've honestly been lost in it. Amazing ambience and an artworld I want to live in!
These are perfect for my D&D sessions, they just fit so well and my players always comment about how beautiful the music is. I'm so glad I found Blue Turtle!
These compilations are my go to when writing. They are the perfect combination of inspirational and calming. Thank you for helping me to weave stories, Blue Turtle!
I finally started watching Andor and I was immediately struck by how much his home town and the world with the Empire base look just like your drawings!
These visuals and music are great, a wonderful world built in the mind because of your work. You also let us see the world you are building and it has become a real place to many of us.
I love the style and the subtle characterisation with pose and expression in Ithya's Journey, it feels like a perfect meld of Moebius and Ghibli where Ithya reminds me specifically of Sypha from Castlevania and Nausicaa from Valley of the Wind, which I think is why I love it so much.
I cannot express in words, how much I enjoy these playlists. They have not just elevated my D&D sessions but also are a stable support for cooking, cleaning, writing and working. Keep up the great work!
I repeat myself everytime I comment on your videos because I keep saying how amazing they are, and this one is no exception. An absolute pleasure to listen to and watch 💙

I lived tis magical moment of this premiere : listening to this inspirational music with others and discover this wondeful work of @Blue Turtle and the possibility to chat with him/her directly. Since I found your videos I listen to them every day during my morning work routine. I hope you continue to receive the positive reception you've gotten so far and your popularity continues to grow. Not just for your channel, but for the privileged few that will be able to experience your videos. Good luck and truly, thank you Blue Turtle.
Currently working on my creative writing project that has over 40+ Tabs spread out over 4 different windows. So it helps that your music makes me able to focus and feel like I have a breakthrough coming with each chapter. Thank you! Keep up the tremendous work!
This background music is art, a MASTERPIECE!!! So inspiring. In my opinion, it would be a perfect soundtrack for the next Chronicles of Narnia movies. Thank you very much for making this.
Truly magnificient this one. Blow away...Somehow I think it's not simply that it's been too long since I last I heard your tunes, Blue Turtle!!! Thank you
Just found this channel and omg I wish I'd found it sooner. This is EXACTLY the kind of thing I've been looking for to have open while I write! Thank you Blue Turtle, I'm so excited for new videos!
I love putting these videos on in the background and then coming back occasionally to see what's happened while I've been gone. Truly inspiring content, and impeccable playlists. Alpha UMi by Golden Anchor and Valley of the Kings by Hampus Naeselius really caught my attention. One of my favorite channels on RU-vid!
always so excited when you post a new video, these have helped me a lot while studying :) beautiful art and world and animation, and lovely compilation of songs
I'd love to see some written lore (if there is I haven't noticed any) on some, if not all, of these fantastic set pieces. What is their story? Why are they here? In some cases, what is it? I love the designs and the world created so far, and I'd really love to see more!
This felt so inspirational I could push myself to do a sizeable amount of integration despite having a throbbing headache! This got my motivation and grit going. Fantastic as always!
I've been watching your videos, wow that's some serious stuff to create an animated timelapse. It's like an Indie game(minute to island), this is so peaceful!! Thank you Bam! (I call Blue Turtle Bam)
I know there' a graphic novel in Instagram but....there's no description underneath of what she is doing. I love them but like some more story please. That is not a demand please don't think of it like that. These are the best videos for medieval/fantasy music. These videos help me with my depression thank you for making them. They're great! Gabe from the future is right having a desert would be good.
Everyone should do what Ithyä's doing in this post I think people, over time, forgot how to observe the beauty of our planet, of our universe Much love to you all
Amazing mix! Felt really stressed when I got into work and couldn't stop thinking about personal issues, but this has chilled me out and now I'm working more productively!
Congrats on 100k subs!!!!! You deserve it :) I have your music on constantly. It's so enjoyable, and the illustrations are gorgeous:) well done on all your hard work!!!
