Six Scorched Roses is the best novella I’ve ever read too! I always tell people that the author captures SO much in like 183 pages and it’s just exceptional.
I will say the romance from the first book of The Witch Collector makes so much more sense once you read the second book! You should definitely give it a shot! 😊
6 scorched Roses is my favorite of the year!!! Now, we’re differ is that I loved a house of beating wings. I loved that series. Also I love The Court of blood and bindings series. Waiting patiently for the 4th book…
Learn how to book bind. Do not buy it from someone because that is illegal and there is a big problem in the fanfic community right now by people who buy a copy of the book because they do not own the right to that book and the author didn’t want it published her copy, but people are doing it anyways.
I read half of these books and pretty much on same page as you! So I’m excited to read your other recommendations. Thanks a lot for taking the time to do these videos!
Loved this video! 😊 It motivates me to pick up the Romantasy books on my tbr. But I have to disagree with you on ZA 8 😅 I loved this book with my whole heart. And the series as a whole. 😊 I truly hope you love the last book when it comes out.
While I agree with Jess that the series needs to end, and the books are too long in general, it just isn't in me to hate on ZA 8. I'm so attached to the characters, and this book ripped my heart out. 😭
Yay! I love tier ranking videos. I feel like I should read Hell Bent. I was a bit iffy about picking it up because I wasn't that enamoured with Ninth House, but what you said makes me think I'll like it more. I paused Anastasia because I found it slow, so I'll give that another go too. 😊
My faves this year, in no particular order, were re-reads of Paula Weston's Rephaim series and the later books in JLA's Covenant series (❤❤❤ both of these series with my whole heart), Carissa Broadbent's Crowns of Nyaxia series to date, Fourth Wing, Manacled, The Disappearances of Draco Malfoy, and Draco Malfoy and the Mortifying Ordeal of Being in Love. I went on a total Dramione bender after Manacled. I feel like the following fanfics also deserve honourable mentions: Remain Nameless, Secrets and Masks (awesome dragon, found family, plus it made me ugly cry several times), and Love in a Time of the Zombie Apocalypse.
@FutureMrsWarwick did you read the prequel or actual book 1? I would say after 2 it's nonstop. I read the prequel after reading book 3 I think and it was pretty good.
The second book of serpent and the wings of night is more romance heavy BUT it’s not as good as book 1 I LOVED the action in book 1 it was so good I didn’t really miss the romance 😊 so for me book 1 was 5⭐️ book 2 a 4⭐️ for me
Being an audio reader gets a lil frustrating sometimes when the audio doesn't come out with the physical😭 both Gold and Caution to the Wind by Giana Darling aren't on audio for awhile and I'm trying to get myself to read the ebook and it's so hard hahahaah
So I want to invest in a new video camera and audio set and I was wondering what you use. My fiancé and I both love your set up and would love to use what you have.
I DnFd the coven, I was expecting fantasy romance not a dark / bully romance which is what it was. I should have known it wasn’t for me, I didn’t like her Flesh and Bone series either for the same reasons
15:25 You’re right. I’m mad about this. 🤣 I liked Fourth Wing a lot but you can’t say “There were definitely issues with it and then put it in PERFECT 😂 Words having meanings, damn it. “Perfect” is only for books that are truly “perfect, no notes” material. I agree with all your other “Perfect” books to this point but putting Fourth Wing there is a biiig reach and you know it just as well as we do 😅
I loved ACOTAR and also Mist and Fury, but for me the whole series went down hill from there, Wings and Ruin was ok, Frost and Starlight was a complete waste of time and I dnf’d Silver Flames because it was stuck in the on going loop of fight training, battle, Rhys and Feyre getting it on, the utterly vile Nesta being an absolute b***h and back around again and I found some of the characters becoming less and less likeable. I absolutely hated it and won’t be continuing with the series. I do hope though that Tamlin gets a redemption arc in one of the following books because I think his actions were largely misunderstood and he definitely really loved Feyre.
