Great demo. Did I read somewhere that this sounds better than the System 8... due to some kind of converters? How much of an improvement is it over the System 8?

Wait I thought the Fantom synths used Zencore instead of ACB?

With the EX upgrade now Fantom has also a JP-8 ACB engine, the same of SYSTEM-8 but with better D/A converters. SH-101 ACB will come in December and other models are coming very soon ;)

Isn't the EX upgrade something that requires you to log in to Roland's cloud once a month in order to keep using it even though you've already paid for it?

Nope, once you’ve downloaded the update files you can use it forever. It is not required to confirm your subscription.

Question, how do you get the shimmer reverb on wheel 2? I cant seem to get that.

Just keep the SHIFT button pressed and move Modwheel2. You’ll get a screen where you can assign the MW2 to everything you want. In this case just select CC:91 REVERB and you’re done ;)

Hi Gattobus, is this, nzyme etc multi timbral? Can you use them in more than 1 of the 16 parts?

ACB can be used only on one part. n/zyme engine can be used on multiple parts. You can create monster scenes using ACB+n/zyme+ABM models+ZenCore simultaneously on 16 parts!
