We’ve received a few questions about our Udhiyah program in Gaza this year. Here are some answers to your frequently asked questions:
Q1: Is Baitulmaal offering Udhiyah in Gaza?
A: Yes. Baitulmaal has sourced animals destined for families in Gaza from 3 locations.
Sheep within Gaza will be slaughtered and distributed fresh to families in need during the days of Eid.
Sheep in Jordan will be slaughtered during the days of Eid, then canned and transported through the Jordan Hashemite Charity Organization.
Cows in Egypt will be slaughtered during the days of Eid, then frozen and distributed as soon as the situation allows.
Q2: What is the cost of Udhiyah in Gaza?
All Udhiyah options in Palestine are $575 and will go towards families in need.
Prices cover 1 whole sheep or 1/7 share of a cow.
Funds will be used to reach as many people in Gaza as possible.
All donations will fulfill the rights and requirements of Udhiyah, in shaa Allah.
