Hi, If I put it in to service mode and disconnect the battery (to remove the air bag) and then reconnect and take it out of service mode, do I need to recalibrate the system? (F87 M2)
Exactly. When you are leaving your car with a third party it’s always recommend to place your alarm in service mode. This way the Anti-hijack and all other alarm functions are switched off.
@@PandoraCarAlarms does this mean the car would just work without the fob? Just like if the alarm wasn't installed? Or does it restrict anything on the car?
Did you have the system installed or was the vehicle purchased with the Mini BT already installed? The audible arm and disarm tones can be switched off in programming. It could be that this was requested by the user.
I do not understand why the maintenance mode remains only for a short time. I activate the maintenance mode, I close the car, I reopen it, I use it, when I turn off the engine the wallet button makes a beep and the maintenance mode disengages by itself
@@PandoraCarAlarms After initial difficulties in keeping the maintenance mode active (if I activated it from the app it deactivated by itself), I managed to activate it from the remote control to make it remain active for a fairly long time. Today, inexplicably, after using the car several times, I turn off the engine and the maintenance mode has been deactivated, the Tag was without a battery (for a long time). I had to put the battery back into the Tag to reactivate maintenance mode. I tried a few times without success (it reactivated by itself), until I activated the maintenance mode from the Tag (pressing the button for 3 seconds). It seems to be remaining active, even with the Tag in the vehicle. I removed the battery again, I hope the maintenance mode does not turn off by itself
By calling the alarm system and entering your secret override code, you can override all controls from the alarm. This even includes the stolen tag and car keys. They will be useless.
