I miss my is400. I used to have alot of fun with it. But I agree with you that it isn't a daily driver. Even yours is 1000hp, I tuned mine at 430hp and still wasn't happy with it. I sold it and bought a civic and pretty much happy I did that. Anyways man love your car!
Ren3gade it is the transmission and engine on these cars are solid. ppl like to mod them out and with that comes having to fix things if the engine goes wrong so it won’t be wise to have it daily after that. but all stock you can daily it
Looking to manual swap my 2001 auto. I was looking at the cd009 but after you talking about the shifting I’m looking at the ar5. Don’t plan on having over 500hp to start
Thanks for making this video. I have a manual swapped 02 is300 2jzge with LSD 3.9 and it shifts like a truck! It does have a modified short shifter but its clunky? How can I tell which tranny was swapped? Is there a stamp code? Also the engine has 220 miles on odo, but doesnt burn oil, oil is clean, and starts up like a champ! But it has a whinning noise on idle? Rpms are around 900 and I dont think its rod knock? could it be upgraded cames? harmonic balancer? Im concern she is gonna pop and what do after, maybe rebuld another GE because GTE are too expensive (more than the car) Otherwise go Honda :(
@@StillRollinEntertainment What am I taking a picture of? Is there a Stamp? Clutch slave on outside? inside? Count lines on tranny? All belts were changed, as well as tensioner, plugs, vc gaskets and waterpump? I will never take my car to a shop again...
SR Entertainment yeah, absolutely. Keep me in mind if you ever decide it’s time. Just sold one of my bikes. Probably sell my sti when im done to fund something in the i6 platform. Had a ge turbo is back in the day. Haven’t stopped thinking about it. Figured it would be more cost effective to buy someone else’s pride and joy.
What do you do for a living to be able to afford to build cars like this, and then tear down your daily driver for 3 months without a worry? Just curious :)
