Is the indicator to change the filter based on flow or time (or both)? Thanks.

Why is it measuring 199 ppm.? My tap water reads 95. I have the alkaline filter and i did a full flush before i used it. I have a Zero water pitcher and it reads 0, no contaminants and the water tastes better.

This product does not lower TDS. TDS level alone does not determine water safety or suitability. For those prioritizing TDS reduction, I recommend considering our RO series models instead.

@waterdropfilter.official So my question is, it's not taking all of the containments out of the water with a 199 reading. How do we know if we are drinking high levels of a certain solid?... Surely the lower the better right? We don't need to spend hundreds of dollars on reverse osmosis system when all we want is a lower tds filter. Nowhere on your website does it metion what the ppm is on your filters.

Testing TDS with ZeroWater at 0 doesn't mean it removes harmful substances; it just removes ions carrying a charge. TDS meters measure conductivity; substances may still be in your water. Reverse osmosis systems remove substances, reducing TDS, different from ZeroWater. For comprehensive removal of harmful substances, this electric water filter's certification is more thorough than ZeroWater. Apologies for not mentioning the inability to reduce TDS on our official website. I've informed my colleagues; we'll update it soon. Thanks for your feedback!

TDS means Total Dissolved Solids. If your water for example has lot of salts TDS will be high but its not dangerous. As matter of fact 0 TDS is not good because your body needs minerals especially balancing your electrolytes. Filters like Dropwater aim to reduce toxic stuff like mercury, lead and etc.. 0TDS water is better known as demineralized water and often good stuff like calcium, potassium, magnetism are removed which are in fact good for your health. However, chemicals from fertilizer can still be present in the water and harmful to your health that TDS meters cannot detect. I highly recommend reading health impacts from demineralized water because it something to be careful about.

0 TDS (Total Dissolved Solids) the actual term is called demineralized water. Not all solids in water are bad, as matter of fact quite of few are good for your health. Filters like ZeroWater remove good stuff like calcium, potassium, magnesium, sodium and etc... These minerals are good for your body electrolytes and lack of these minerals can have severe health impacts. Filters like Dropwater goal is to reduce the bad stuff that is harmful to your body. You can have zero TDS but still have toxins in the water.

Flushing.... WHAT DO YOU MEAN BY THAT. Same terminology in the manual, is it keep it in water like Brita filters? Very poor explaination guys

No, by "flushing" we mean filling up the water tank and filtering all of it out in order to flush out the filter element. Sorry for the confusion caused by the expression in the video, we will continue to improve our expression in the future.
