Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon on PS3 April 30th 

What an amazing alternative DLC! All future DLC's will now be judged on this! Who just wants 'more of the same' churned out repetitious missions/levels/quests? This is how to create true DLC!!! Something so far away from the original works on so many levels, if you have a good game engine, why not use it. It's like the Mod scene and the Doom wads of old, reskined Far Cry 3!

A throwback to the good old 80s. I can see G.I. Joe, Terminator and Captain Power!

At the end when the announcer says "Far Cry 3..Blood Dragon", it intensifies my senses with the soundtrack, it's epic.

It's DLC (Downloadable content) It will be a network only game that you can only download it on your network gaming store such as PSN or XBL. Many games make spin off games with the same engine from the original game. (Like GTA: Episodes from Liberty City or Infamous festival of blood) It's linked to Far Cry 3 because it still has the same concept about moving around to the different areas to get rid of enemies but now its cyborgs. There are still cars and all that to drive around just 80s style

This should be its own game, I suppose it's less risky to make crazy experiments like this with a DLC. Appreciate that someone is at least trying to bring us new stuff, ironically even if that means that it's very retro.

Oh man, 80s goodness. I must own this. That synthesizer music! I really hope more 80s-style games comes out in the coming years! Love that little bootleg Terminator music near the end of the trailer music, makes it perfect with it being Michael Biehn!

Same engine, same mechanics, just like the other guy said, it's basically a super awesome Far Cry 3 mod.

Ok, I was never particularly impressed by Far Cry before, but now I am. Any game that can give me flashbacks of the good old days of First Person Shooters deserves my attention.

Why are people so against the idea of a silly, nostalgia filled, action packed DLC Standalone content for a critically acclaimed game?

Although this looks completely ridiculous and a stretch from the series it looks actually like it could be pretty fun, and for the people saying that it's not DLC, it is a spin off series only being launched on PSN and XBL and Steam. So I would consider that downloadable content but that's just me. Other then the opening, the game still looks pretty fun.

This idea is brilliant even though cliche the idea of bringing back such an old style of advertisement (older than me infact *16*) is genius and extremely well executed. As I said earlier this is why Im going to become one of the best. Great game already, made even better with this. Cannot Wait. :D

it's a stand alone version of a game. that use far cry 3 engine/emotion/system with a new eviroment/gameplay/story/world.

This kinda reminds me of what Volition did with Saints Row the Third and made a great game but went a little crazy and mad some totally ridiculous and outrageous stuff in it. Should be great and will def' look to get it.

i doubt its a standalone wherever you heard that unless theyre going to make it standalone as well as DLC..(in other words what rockstar did with the grand theft auto 4 dlc packs)
