The rhino´s in far cry 4 are real beasts and it can be quite a challange to double skin kill them . I found the most convenient way is to use an elephant since the rhino´s will flee from elephants , another good way is to use the bow and keep your distance so the rhino runs away from you when you shoot it . You always better have a plan B if something goes wrong . In my video you can see when the rhino starts to charge i always quickly search a rock and jump onto it and shoot the rhino from there . When it wants to get away i quickly jump down the rock and it will come on you again . Then i quickly jump on the rock again and repeat this till the rhino is dead . Also make sure to have your arrow quiver filled with arrows , these beasts can tank a shitload of arrows or bolts ! Hope you like the vid , have fun watching peeps :) .

Watching this reminded me so much of my early Skyrim days hunting a giant with a bow and arrow. Run towards the giant and shoot with an arrow. As the giant gives chase, hurriedly run away and hide under a stone bridge. Repeat between 10-20 times. Then search the dead giant's body and harvest its big toe for ingredient mixing. Then deplete its mammoth cheese cache. God I loved that playing game. Far Cry 4 was pretty enjoyable also. Except for the aerial attacks by damned eagles every two minutes.

A similar strategy can be used by jumping into a pool of water nearby if there are no rocks around you.

You can also circle walk around a tree if you don't happen to find a perfect rock, because your sidewalk speed is equal if not greater than rhinos charge speed if you take into consideration the fact that the rhino has to run in a circle which reduces it's speed. And then just fire arrows from the hip, but this situation will be more tense than just following it and jumping on rocks.., but hey, it works!

I killed a rhino with my melee knife and just ran round in circles knifeing it I started with 6 health bars ended with half a health bar and 2 rhino skins

Just use the crossbow from a distance. It usually takes around 14-15 bolts to kill the rhino, but the crossbow is way faster than the bow and you will end it in no time. And you will get your double skin as well.

You don't need to mess around trying to get double skins. All you need is 6 skins total - 4 for the wallet, and 2 for the explosives bag. You can unlock the D2 shotgun (it's under Sidearms) early in the game. That weapon is a beast. Shoot a charging rhino in the face with one shot and it falls down at your feet. It is easy to find six rhinos quickly for your crafting. Side note: you get the D2 in the arena for level 13 and 14. You never have to worry about animals when you have it. One shot tigers, bears, and as I said, rhinos.

It's much easier to kill two rhinos with SMG or assault rifle then try to kill one with the bow for five minutes.

clockner Not really. A lot of times the Rhino is running away or directly under me making him a hard target. But there is 0 risk. Until your gyro randomly decides to die mid-flight.

Hey Clockner, do you know if someones Uplay Account can be like a ''Connecter'' Betheween stats/progress in the game... Like.. A better way would be to go up to the Rhino and keep going in circles around it whilst shooting the arrows. It’s faster; you get to pick up the arrows from it’s body while still shooting it and you’ll NEVER get hit by it while going in circles.

2021 - You have probably bought the Gold Edition for cheap on sale. You can use the Elephant Gun to kill a Rhino with 1 shot to the head. They respawn quickly, just move around the area (by quad). I got 4 Rhinos in under 5 minutes. Use the bow technique if you want the immersion, although I am sure it is not what anybody uses in Africa.

*@Od4n* It was more about showing of an easy method to get double skin kills. It might take a bit more time but you also have to bare in mind that one kill on this method equals two kills with guns, when it comes to the skins you're be able to extract at least.

A lot of work for something that you only get 1 extra of. In my opinion, the only animal that is not worth all the arrows spent. Just go south of the Kyra Tea Weigh Station and make sure to either bring a vehicle with a mounted gun on the back or use the one down the road. But there are quite a number of rhinos in this area and killing them with the MG is a lot easier than spending three minutes getting one kill for an extra skin when you'll probably get x4 skins the MG way in the same amount of time.

The point is that there's a mechanic that rewards you additionally and when it comes to these rhinos, it's somewhat of a challange. It's another small bit that's immersing you further into the game. That's what it's all about. Immersion.

Personally I'm a fan of just using a machine gun nest. Find one near rhino spawn point and cut them down from safety. Only get one skin that way but there are some nests where rhinos are always wandering around and new ones constantly spawning.

I do this, but if the rhino spots me I circle around a tree so when it charges it hits the tree, when it goes left you go right etc, meanwhile hitting it with arrows

Just aggro him, go into water. It will stop at the very edge, then turn and start going away. As soon as you step out of the water it will charge at you which will take it two seconds to commence.

The first few time I just pull out the deadliest shotgun in the game and two shotted him. Still took one hit. Later on in the game I can't use that shortgun cuz sth is more important than it. Then I started struggle so much against it until one day I randomly shoot it with arrow and be safe forever

I just use an auto cross because the fire rate is much faster and it has more power behind the bolt, also I find you can use it in cars so it is easier to chase them down

clockner *I have 2 questions* 1. In the beginning of the video, you kept shooting the rhinos one arrow at the time. At many times you could've shot it more that once before it could come to you, but you didn't. Is there any reason behind this or you're just some kind of perfectionist? (no offense) 2. Why don't you take all the arrows when you skin the rhino? It seems to me that it would be more profitable that way. (ik you probably have a lot of money so you don't really care, but still, it doesn't take any time)

Stand at the edge of the water, they wont chase you into the lakes. I drop them right in front of me. Sometimes they will run after a few shots, chase them, sling a few arrows, let them chase you, and as soon as your in the waters edge they will stop right at your face. Wait for them to back up, shoot a few arrows.

Richard McLean You still gotta watch out when chasing them on foot , one mistake could be the end . Yeah agreeing about the elephant thing , that was for the plebs . I just dont like these things where people are abusing the retarded AI to a point where it just gets utterly ridicolous like the water thingy you mentioned or when peeps running circles around trees while beeing chased from a rhino so it bugs out .

An easy way to kill a rhino is just get a .700 nitro and it only takes one headshot or 2 bodyshots its really useful

I have a better way: 1.Find the rhino 2.Shot it in the head with an arrow as many as you could 3.If you're lucky, it would be dead 4.If you not, then 2 possibilities:1.It run away 2.It will fuck you up 5.If the rhino try to fuck you up, then run to back of the rhino and attack it with the khukri 6.Repeat attacking it until the rhino is dead. Btw, don't try this if the rhino is in group, you will be dead in a matter of second

18 arrows?? I just one shot in the head kill them with the Z93. Takes little time to get the required skins. Cheers!
