To ask the real questions: 1) Microtransactions? Do they matter? Cosmetic only? 2) and this is very, VERY important. Can you bring down a chopper by throwing shovels at it?
I have a question that I need an answer to: How is this game repetitive to the other ones (3 & 4)? I know Far Cry is a franchise, and franchises should have some small amount of repetitive to it. But people who hate this game say it is too repetitive to the other ones (3 & 4). I have played a little of 2 a while back when it came out at my friends house, and Far Cry 4 was the first Far Cry game I bought and beat. I like Far Cry 4 better than 5, but still love Far Cry 5. So how is 5 repetitive? Is it repetitive in the sense that you get kidnapped by the villian, then some resistance member finds you, and you have to fight the villian and his army? I need an answer to this because I feel like they were enough small changes in 5 to set it apart from 3 & 4. Thanks to anyone who responds, and sorry for my long message/ question.
360p lul I personally love the game and ive only played a little of farcry 3, I finished 4. And half of primal. I enjoyed far cry 3 it was great for what it was. But held back to the system obviously its a old game. Far cry 4 was good but too grindy and you felt bored of it doing the same things like you would in just cause. Primal was interesting its was a good change of pace and cool theme from the whole island survival. And far cry 5. First seeing the trailers for it and country side theme it looked dull and I wasnt interested whats so ever. Because country side themes are the least used in gaming because theyre so plain and boring same reason people hate country music. But when the Gameplay trailers came out with arcade and Dlc and far cry 3 bonus I became interested! I purchased it day 1 before release. So got all the pre order bonuses and gold edition. Because it seems really worth it. 60$ game 3dlc packs really different. Arcade. And far cry 3 classic full game which is about 20$ now. So you basically get 3 Dlc and arcade free with Farcry3 remastered. Its really different in the series from weapon customization to perks and different allies you can get to help you. Mini map removal so you do more adventuring instead of looking at which roads to take. Its an amazing game. From fishing/ burning down houses/ Settimg bears loose in factories/ Raiding a hate church/ Drinking and getting in a car taking on wild turkeys/ finding alien weapons and a shit ton more. It all feels right like a free roam game should feel. Adventuring creates new quests and secrets. You arnt forced to go anywhere unless in a quest. Mini missions are crazy fun. Arcade is chaotic and custom maps are amazing. Dlc looks amazing. I highly recommend getting this game. And gold edition if you can for all the Dlc and far cry 3 classic.
Some parts I agree, some parts I don't. The gunplay feels nice, which is par for the course of a Far Cry game, but weapon variety is terrible, which saddens me because I loved the variety you got in Far Cry 3 and 4. Vehicles still handle like shit, so no change there. Companions are, lets go with interesting. Seriously though, why can't Boomer ride in the car with you? They took out first aid to make a regenerating health system. That is simply something I cannot agree with or understand why they did it. The whole thing was that medkits healed you instantly but took resources to make, and first aid was free, but it took a long time and didn't heal as much without upgrades. Overall, new coat of paint with more bells and whistles, and missing some bells and whistles that I actually liked.
I thought I was the only one who was annoyed that boomer didn't get in your cars. Also, I've onpy had a problem with the guns for hire when I'm climbing things off the beaten path and they try to follow and get stuck. Once I get a certain distance they do teleport and the problem is fixed. Maybe it was your platform? I'm on ps4.
Same old, same old. Not a bad game, but not a good one either. You can definitely have fun with, especially in co-op but it is just an average game experience
