After spending about 5 hours with the game, some of the places are unrecognizable until reading a note with hints, then a nostalgic realization hits me (i fell in love with the FC5 map). Like when i found the 8 bit pizza bar in new dawn, it was awesome because that was where i was just a few days ago when i last played FC5. The deputy was standing there shooting the shit with everyone 17 years ago in that spot. For players that really liked 5, this game is art. This game is beautiful.
I completely agree. I think it's awesome to just stroll through the different areas and reminisce. Especially those places which were significant to Far Cry 5's story. Exploring buildings and bunkers, seeing the old Eden's Gate logos and slogans, gave me goosebumps. Not to mention all the familiar places turned into Highwaymen outposts. Like you said. It's art. And people are actually hating on this game because it has pink flowers in it... Gimme a break.
Why is almost everyone complaining about the map being "copy pasted" from 5 like wtf this is a post-apocalyptic version of hope county what do u expect, florida??
While I found many places recognizable I also found others completely different then I realized the water level had gone up. Too cool. Thanks for taking the time to make this video. Very cool.
Almost 4 years later and seeing the comparison between the 17 years depresses me greatly. I fell in love with Hope County and its people, to see it destroyed in New Dawn hit pretty hard when I played. I could recognize most of the locations, but some were so decimated, I couldn't remember where I was in relation to 5. Been replaying 5 again lately after having replayed ND and it hit hard with nostalgia and reminded me why I fell in love with the game in the first place. I did enjoy New Dawn. As much as it was depressing, it was still a very pretty world seeing it try to come back.
I just finished Far Cry 5 after a few months, and am just starting New Dawn, but... this is making me sad 😂 I’m still in the beginning of New Dawn, but I hope they keep incorporating more of the Seed family into the game...yes it’s about 20 years into the future, but the entire landscape is built upon the foundation of Far Cry 5. I think it would be cool to meet characters who have had personal encounters with members of the Seed family, or have missions that are rooted in a revenge against them. Having that kind of ‘connection’ between the 2 games through the characters would be awesome .
But no weather, no reflection, no blood and wounds, no face movement when 1 npcs dies, no character shadows, no dynamic shadows, dumb characters, no tree physics, lousy ragdoll physics.
Well, you can get a glimpse of the entrance to Jacobs bunker before you're "teleported" out of the radiation zone, but Faith's bunker isn't even on the map, since they chewed off a big part of the Henbane River area. The whole island where the entrance is, has been cut out.
This is making me emotional for some reason cause I remember a few months ago now I was at the hope county prison talking to the sheriff then I go there in new dawn it’s nothing but a bullet farm that those bastard highway men turned it into
I guess I get it why this is sad, because we know that this is possible in real life, that humanity is capable of causing this to its own world, we see the good things, good times and then its all re-shaped by pain and death, the moment we look at this its a reminder of what happened and how many could have/died
At first I played FC Primal and I loved it, so I was a bit suspicious of how FC4 is gonna be like, but I loved it...then FC5 came out and I was suspicious again. I didn't like it initially but after hours spent in Hope county I started loving it. Now I'm pretty damn suspicious about the New Dawn again. There might be some magical fairies jumping out of those pink bushes and I might accidentally kill them. I don't want that. I just want my Peaches back! 😭
I love Far Cry 5... I think it's the best Far Cry because you "befriend" the characters and grow fond of them... when you then play NewDawn and find yourself in the same setting again and also meet certain characters again and the ones you know when you go to places, you almost feel homesick
Tree burned Down, blown up buildings, radioactive sea, build up camp, others painted, bunker, new vegetation, buildings and house full of tree ect ect..
I wasn’t very happy when I heard about this games release. But I was presently surprised that it was enjoyable. Don’t understand why no guns for hire with coop partner though, I mean it’s basically the same game and you could do that in 5.
New dawn no es mal juego, en lo personal las misiones e historia me gustaron mucho asi como las del far cry 5, básicamente si hay que decir los puntos malos del new dawn, seria tener una historia corta y un mapa mas pequeño....lo demas esta muy bien
New Dawn should have been 5's DLC, as it pretty much looks like it was from the start. The DLCs of 5 were mostly lacking with some being ok, but I feel they just came up with shit so they could release New Dawn as a separate title
Everybody is saying that every FarCry is the same thing, and when a game different from all the others is launched. They say it’s too much pink, flowers etc...
it`s depressing, no matter how brutal FC5 characters and enviroment was , seeing and playing after nucelear disaster and shocking because this could happend to our world - everythnig destroyed, abandond and it all looks like odd version of once beautiful world full of life
only problem is that's not where the fang center is. in 5 the fang center is in white tail mountain. the church in new dawn is where you help grace in 5.
What doesnt make sense to me that due to the size modern nuclear bombs the radiation goes up into the atmosphere and settle down from the sky after being rendered harmless
As someone who by the end of Far Cry 5 actually loved the cult and wanted to join them, it was quite awesome exploring Dutch’s island just to see what happened and have that mission start without me having planned on starting it.
@@ABC-in2le ill give you credit for the apocalypse, but I have memeories of being shot, stabbed, tortured, bombed, ran over, attempted drowning, brainwashed to kill a friend ( or friends depending on ending) tattooed against my will, drugged, probably raped, used as a chew toy and so much more. So basically Seed was partly right, about the coming nuclear war at least, and because his cult was prepared they survived. That’s pretty cool for them... I guess.
The map in Far Cry 5 is just a little bit bigger. I crouched across the map in Far Cry 5, it took 1 hour and 39 minutes. I also crouched across the map in New Dawn, it took 1 hour and 5 minutes.
I feel like Far cry New dawn was a too short game instead of like 25 or 26 missions there should’ve been like 40 or 50 or maybe a add on for more missions.
I will always prefer 5 even tho the ending was pretty awful it felt more original I mean far cry was about fighting in the forest against a eccentric villain I mean a REALLY FUCKED IN THE HEAD VILLAIN The Father was another successful villain imo but when new dawn came up well it was horrible imo because the twins was pretty basics and they made Joseph Seed someone who tortured drugged and killed people became a good guy THAT'S is when the game doesn't make any sense that's is why farcry 5 will always be better than new dawn
