Far Cry Primal VS Far Cry 4 | WHICH GAME IS BETTER? 

Maybe I'm in the minority but I enjoyed Primal. The question of "Which game is better?" only suits the people that are debating which of the two games to buy. I bought Primal. I enjoyed it. I have no issues with it. I haven't played 4 but I'm sure I'd enjoy it too. Primal is a fine game.

Primal is very underrated.

The best part of far cry 4 is the elephant gun. (Including valley of the yetis) primal is the win for me. I loved how it made animals a very concerning threat without guns.

4 might be better but I would say play both. Far Cry is amazing.

I watched a video recently comparing far cry 5s physics, destruction, fire and stuff like that to cyberpunk. It really reminded me how much effort is put into the far cry games.

in primal you got to be creative on how you approach on taking down enemies. That's why the skill trees are there to improve your kills. That way it won't be "repetitive".

I want far cry primal 2, primal being about “no guns, just guts” was AWESOME I would’ve loved some better melee since that 50% of it

Well, Nice & Creative Explanation Bro😊👍 In my opinion, FarCry Primal has the best survival experience of the whole franchise although it is a spin-off, storyline is absolutely amazing. Because not only we can interact with prehistoric animals, our stone-age ancestors of more stronger Udam tribe(Homo neanderthalensis) & Izila tribe(Homo erectus) who fluent in control of fire, but also we can get a rough idea that how humankind survived from everything to rebuild own Wenja tribe(Homo sapiens) with interacting nature more than today. I think, most of haters coming from the people who only know how to play shooting games and don't know how to survive without a gun or may be who suffering from blind faith & never accept the main concept of the game cause it is often in line with human evolution theory. But for those looking for different survival experience & love the nature, FarCry Primal is quite worth it! That's why this is the game I played the most times after FarCry 3. FarCry 4 is cool but the storyline, ending & survival experience of "Valley of The Yetis" a DLC of FarCry 4 is much better than FarCry 4 main game, although it is a very short story. Definitely don't forget to try that experience!☺️

The only problem with Primal is how short it is. Primal is probably one of my favourite games of all time, love the setting and execution, the music is even great, if a bit sparse.

Two of my favourite games of all time, gameplay wise it’s primal for me but in terms of setting and vibe it’s gotta be 4. That being said I enjoyed my time with 4 just a bit more because of the co op ability and ability to play other people’s maps.

Primal is probly my favorite farcry and im proud to say probably my greatest video game achievement is i achieved the survival of the fittest (100% completion-expert difficulty- survivor mode on-permadeath on)

Played primal years ago and loved it, just because it was somewhat different. I prefer 4 but primal is very underrated and should still give it a try since it's probably really cheap now. Kinda wanna revisit it tbh

Far cry primal It's the best for me, because I like to play only with a bow and arrow. And in primal, every enemie has a bow and arrow, só its a fair fight for me, nothing of guns blazing or go rambo moments. I play full like man vs wild and it is a amazing experience.

I very like far cry primal because it realistic for its timeline and of course there is no combat style on that time before so for me its not boring for me primal give experience to how to live in that time and its amazing i like the style on how you craft your weapon and tame your pet

I say nothing will beat Far Cry 3, but Far cry 4 is definitely the superior game out of ALL Far Cry games, the way it looks,feels,plays, it’s just the best Far cry game.

I strongly disagree. They're not supposed to be the same type of game. It takes place in prehistoric times, so a lot of the comments you made are related to that, which is inherent to the game. They still managed to add a lot of crazy mechanics for that time period, like fire bombs, beehive clusters, berserk shards and bombs, etc. And being able to tame beasts is something you barely mentioned and is a highly distinguishing factor, where you have nothing like it in Far Cry 4. You even get a slingshot. In fact, Far Cry Primal is my favorite game of all time of all games I've ever played.

One video I would like to see is a which is better between Far Cry 3 and Far Cry 4. I’m honestly conflicted. Vaas beats Pagan (obviously) but Far Cry 4 has better weapon variety and customization, better skills (jumping onto an enemy truck, killing everyone, then taking it over never gets old), better hunting, and better vehicles and navigation. But Far Cry 3 also has a good setting, good story, and great characters. Graphically 4 is better, but I can’t blame 3 for coming out a few years before it (and the Classic Edition doesn’t improve the graphics a whole lot). I want to know what you think.

I first played both in past two years couldn't even play 4 primal I love though

Far cry primal actually has a plot when you first start the game you are part of a hunter group then your attack when killing a mammoth by a saber cat and which kills your entire group but in this moment the Wenja are trying to find a better home by the time you exit the cave and you meet your little friend cave girl you find out that there are two other groups that are dangerous in the sense one is cannibalistic and wants to eat every other tribe and take over the entire region and the other wanting to burn everything and every other tribe and for that takkar found it as his mission to rebuild the Wenja in the land of orose and unite them with the beasts so all those little side missions that you have to do kill protect retrieve is all part of takar rebuilding the wenja and I could keep going but it's actually alot more so yeah the game does have a story and the main character actually has motives. By the way farcry primal and 4 are my favorite also I'm a lore creater so I understand the plot much easier.

yeah but... primal good. you ride sabertoothed cats and kill enemies and hunt stuff, its dope. and i dont mind the dull combat because in my opinion its still fun, you can have totally random moments where your pet gets absolutely demolished by mammoths just because its killing another animal near them, and having the mammoth you're using for this one mission suddenly turn on you and attack you, leading you to kill it from a distance, basically just ruining the mission entirely even though its already done. but i find the characters to be fun and interesting, the villains may not be so fleshed out but your group members are varied and fun, my favorites have to be the enemy villagers you can get with their own sidestory and fun banter. overall i'd definetly recommend far cry primal because the environment is dope, and in general the game is just fun to play. if you dont care much about the story or you just want to fuck around in the prehistoric era you can do that.

I wanted to like Primal, it seemed like a good idea, I just couldn't. Far Cry 4 is much better. And I actually just started Far Cry 3 for the first time.

Far cry 4 is very good but the only problem I have is that it's very gun specific. Like unless you have some good guns you can't play very stealthy.

I feel that it should be pointed out that the games are really not directly comparable. When FC4 came out it took a lot of flak along the lines of "it's just another reworked FC3", "why can't Ubisoft do something new" and the inevitible "Wwaaaahhhh!". Under the circumstances we should not have been suprized that FC Primal was different. Of course, it was a little more different than most people were ready for. In fact, it was as different as it could be and still be called a Far Cry game. All that being said, I thoroughly enjoyed both games.

Haven't played Primal but just finished FC 6 and i still like FC 4 the best out of all them, i need to try Primal though looks fun . Enjoy your video's

I got lucky, Xbox had a Far Cry sale and one of the bundles was both FC 4 and Primal for $29.99. The are both my favorite Far Cry games in the series.

Hang on. I see everyone always talking about primal reusing parts of the map from 4, but they did the same thing with 3 and blood dragon. That seems to be their thing, mainline numbered games then a spinoff title with the same map.

Based on my preference both are great the most fun far cry so far including the legendary far cry 3 but Primal's gameplay and story are the most unique and exotic. Primal is underrated since people heard it as downgrade from modern setting they affraid it was too primitive but it turn not to be the case.

Takkar has no depth? You're gonna totally ignore that he invented diplomacy, and developed a prototype of the Geneva conventions? Thousands of years before Geneva existed? You're gonna forget that he saw humanity in everyone he encountered in every tribe, whereas most of the Wenja just saw an advanced animal to kill? How he adopted Ull's daughter, showing he has ethics beyond those of most of his tribe? How he tries to be fair to Dah, without totally alienating his girlfriend? Takkar goes way deeper than you realize. Plus, Ull had that whole epidemic thing driving him. And Batari was fearful of her son's revenge from the grave. There was more to her than just an insane sun worshiper.

I think the main limitations of Far Cry Primal in terms of story is the setting itself. What can we expect, it was 10000BC, do humans in that time period think like us, have knowledge just as much as we have collected through history? It doesn't, and thus the characters as stuck with that they know and have. So just take Primal's story as something that could happen. And it's not like we can easily tell how people lived back then, what their motivations were. Very limited evidences just from tools and paintings, burial sites etc., but nothing of actual recorded history

He must be really bad at Far Cry Primal if he’s having trouble Fast Traveling

Well primal is more about hunting and crafting and survival so its more challenging while far cry 4 is to easy and basic as the other farcrys. Primal is different you craft instead of buy. You hunt for what you need like meet to heal. so if you like an actual challenge then primal is for you

Welp I just bought both games for $12 each with all the DLC's on XBOX STORE.... FPS BOOST for far cry 4 allows it to be played at 60fps now! im juiced lol hoping they update primal as well
