I don’t want you making the same mistake I’ve made having regrets as a teenager. A famous quote says “Life moves pretty fast. Bruh a tiktok brought me back to a lost childhood song and the nostalgia makes me wanna cry

I remember hearing this for the first time 10 years ago on the radio, jamming out to it and all. I had the beat of it in my head for weeks, but couldn't remember the words, and always wondered if I would hear it again so I can find out what it's called. Not once in 10 years did I hear it played again, but now here it is a decade later, and I finally heard it in a grocery story. So I found an empty aisle, which wasn't hard to do with covid restrictions, and listened super close to the words and finally found this! My life is now complete, and I can die happy.

I don't know why everytime I feel nostalgia i used to went back to year 2010 where almost songs on this era are emotionally breaking me and this song is one of those reasons why i kept reminiscing my young 16 age at that year who's just simple, being quite innocence and the life where i used to live my puberty stage to the fullest unlike my present days where i just choose to be introvert due to my inner struggle and depression. I may not be able to go back those old days but these songs remind me always i had a meaningful memories worth remembering

I remember when I first heard this song, my parents had picked me up from boarding school to drive me down to L.A., hearing him say "theres a world out there that we should see" hit me so hard becasue it was the truth, i was 13 years old locked away in a boarding school trapped in the mountains wishing I could see the world outside, and there I was on I5 watching the West Coast fly by thinking "wow how nice it is to be a freeman". That trip lasted a week n then they took me back to that prison, I had snuck my iPod Touch there (remember those? lmfao) and I showed my brothers there this song. It gave a sense of hope when we were there, that one day we would be free and we would see all the beauty this world has to offer. 10 years have passed, my mind is still not free and I'm not sure if it ever will be, but my body is and I want to take it around the world. Life is too short to be held in a cage.

Spotify randomly recommended this song to me and as soon as I heard the first lyric, I started tearing up. Brought back some damn good memories from back when everything was alright. Really miss those days man.

I was in secondary school when this song came out, and the scene of skateboarding always caught me. I wanted to skate but where I live skateboarding/skateboards are not common. I’m now 28, got myself a penny board few years back, but caught with life that I didn’t had the chance to skate much. I’m still learning, and was skating today, working on my one foot balance on the board. And the scene from 00:26-00:32 is always on my mind when I skate. But I have forgotten it’s from rocketeer until I accidentally came across the song on an instagram after my skating session. Then the skate and song suddenly matched in my brain, and straight to RU-vid I come for rocketeer. How amazing the coincidence, which I believe isn’t an accident.

This song is reminding me of the childhood innocence and happiness that I once had. I didn’t have to worry about school, friends, and life in general. It’s making me realize that childhood was and always will be the best time of my life and you can never get that feeling back. The more I listen the more I realize that I’ve grown up and life has never been the since then. To all the young kids that see this, cherish your childhood and never grow up.

I had a friend back in preschool/elementary school and we listened to this song all the time. Disney channel, radio, everywhere. I stopped talking to him in middle school and regret it so much. I haven’t spoken to him in so long and this song brought back so many memories. It is the definition of nostalgia for kids born in the 2000s

Looks like a lot of stays came running over because of Felix's recommendation, he really brought me back a whole decade! Time really does fly. I haven't listened to this song is such a long time and I can't believe how much I missed it and remember the lyrics. 2010 was such an amazing year in feel-good music, brings back good memories.
