Skyrim isn't my favorite game anymore with Witcher 3 and Hellblade coming out in the past decade, but there is no game that came close to the feeling I had when I first played Skyrim on my Ps3. It was the best first experience for a game I've ever had.

Hellblade and Witcher 3 were goated but Skyrim gave me emotions like no other game could. We can only hope elder scrolls 6 is as good and that Jeremy Soule is still the one making the music

@@that_one_dude_3541 I think it’s only as mid as your ability to think. It had about 1000 hours worth of content when it was all said and done when considering DLC’s and all. I have played a LOT of games to COMPLETION in my life, and The Witcher 3 is easily the greatest of them, with the closest 2nd place being either Baldurs Gate 3 or Red Dead Redemption 2 in terms of quality. For its time - The Witcher 3 blows everything else from that time, as well as 90% of all games made today, out of the water, irrefutably.

To me the only game to have a captivating ambiance even close to Skyrim was hollow knight, but this soundtrack really just floods me with nostalgia and don’t think I’ll ever feel the same way about any other video game soundtrack. Hearing this music just takes me back to my 15 year old self escaping Helgen for the first time and seeing that windy path leading to the far horizon and nothing will ever top that memory.

Skyrim has got to be one of the most iconic video games ever. It stands to reason it would also have some really iconic music. And it does. There are so many bangers in this game. But this song, to me, *is* Skyrim. When I think about the Elder Scrolls 5, I hear this track in my head.

This gave me tears because of how many memories I have associated to this game...seems like all my major life events happened while I was playing this game. I got it for my 8th birthday since it was only 2 weeks after the release of the game. This game has been my one true respite from the barriers of life. This is my comfort game. The one thing that could save me from a panic attack. The one thing that could keep my mind off the near constant abuse at the hands of my brother..thank you guys.
