Nigel Farage claims Boris Johnson will go down in history as the “worst prime minister of modern times” after a public spat that saw the ex-PM attack the Reform leader for claiming the West provoked Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
Are Mr Farage’s views on Vladimir Putin a vote-loser or an inconvenient truth? With Kamal off, Camilla is joined in studio by Associate Editor Gordon Rayner to make sense of it all.
Plus, could the General Election gambling controversy be the new ‘partygate’ for the Tories? And can the real Kemi Badenoch please stand up? Features writer Mick Brown takes us on a deep dive into the politician who could be the future of her party.

Since when does a politician do what he says in a campaign?? Political campaigning is about reading between the lines. Farage is no different - only naive people think otherwise. It is all acting, it is all about performance. Remember, Farage will not be anywhere near Downing street after the election and everybody knows that. Thus, this campaign is only about what he is saying and what he means & how he is trying to rally people now.

@@GeorgiaMartin-ll9qg What should have happened is the UK and US sending their troops in when Ukraine was invaded in 2014. Ukraine was guaranteed defence when it surrendered its nuclear weapons in 2014, but this seems to have been ignored. Now China is conducting military exercises very close to Taiwan, emboldened by western weakness.
@GeorgiaMartin-ll9qg
@GeorgiaMartin-ll9qg 3 месяца назад
@@existnt Before that, the west should have kept its promise from the late 90s that NATO would not encroach near the Russian border. There’s no question about it, the west did give Russia an excuse to invade - and not hundreds of thousands are dead or wounded and many more displaced, never mind the physical destruction of the country. Of course, the arms dealers are happy so that’s all that matters.
@GeorgiaMartin-ll9qg
@GeorgiaMartin-ll9qg 3 месяца назад
@@existnt Don’t forget why it is that Russia invaded… The US ordered a coup on the Ukrainian government that was democratically elected. The new government that was put in place was hostile to Russia. If Russia managed to oust Trudeau, to place a government that was hostile to the US, anyone would agree that the US would have good reason to invade Canada. Personally, as a Canadian, I wouldn’t have minded a coup, with Trudeau in power, but then, Canadians are finally aware of what a schmuck the moron is so he’ll out on his arse soon enough :)

@@GeorgiaMartin-ll9qg As far as I'm aware, Ukraine wasn't too interested in NATO - until they were invaded unprovoked in 2014 and given lackluster support, after which its people concluded that joining NATO was the only way to guarantee its safety and independence in the long term. The destruction of Ukraine now is very sad to see especially because that's where my family is from, and while I favour military intervention, a peace deal ceding some territory in return for NATO membership is the only way i see this ending peacefully.

Farage, posh, wealthy ex- public schoolboy likes to adopt a persona that projects him as an "ordinary bloke down the pub", flat cap, pint in hand. Has he considered the hugely damaging effects of Reform UK's immigration policy on the football industry? Young, talented British players are being excluded from opportunities to play at the top level because hordes of foreign players and managers are swamping the Premier League. Reform UK's hard line on immigrant labour will surely have a devastating effect on the top teams. This will not go down well among football supporters, most of whom are "ordinary working blokes", the kind of people Farage claims to represent. Working people are struggling to pay the bills, see a doctor etc. and seeing their team winning on a Saturday is one of the few things that they can look forward to. Have Farage and Reform UK really considered the implications for ordinary people of a ban on immigrant labour in the football industry? Unless, of course, Farage feels that football should get preferential treatment; after all, why should the NHS be allowed to bring in more surgeons, doctors etc when many football clubs are short of top class strikers?
