He manages to turn up for work at his first job though doesn’t he ! No fear when travelling to and from gbn ! Joe Cox was shot outside a public Library not inside ! His harping on about this just highlights he shows no fear outside GBN or his own reform office !

Jo Cox's attacker was a far right extremist - from Farage's own flock. And far right extremism is generally on the rise. So you could make an argument that Farage would be less likely than the average MP to be attacked since he would be spared by far right extremists.

My old Conservative MP, who I hold a lot of respect for and has now been thrown out, he held surgeries for farmers. You often saw pictures of them in the local paper because he ran a weekly column to keep us updated on what he was doing for us in Westminster. Those particular surgeries were whare a large group of farmers were sat with him in a big circle on bales of hay as seats. He used to say, well I run a farm up in Scotland, so I understand how farms work. He really was popular with the local farmers and remained in office for 25 years without a break. Farage sounds mad though. Paying for insurance to hold a prayer meeting? Killed by prayer book eh!

As far as my understanding of the law is concerned. I stand corrected if im wrong. Every constuent in Clacton has the rights to meet their MP. If farage interprets that as only who he wishes to see, or topics he's intested in. Then that needs challenging. If he's worried about being knifed then maybe he should think why he has that fear. Is he only playing at being an MP. Does he really want to be a public servant or is it about something else.

The problem with Farage is not that he is an ignorant, disingenuous, right-wing, cowardly bigot, 'cos there's a couple of those in every street corner pub in the country, it's that he engages people. Not only that, as remains the case with the equally asinine and inelegant Boris, a substantial percentage of the media think the world of him. The news media in this country is not in a good place. That said, I'm in my 70s and I can't remember when it was.

Farage, as well as other MPs should look at France where some government offices and post offices which I use have excellent security in place, a locked door, wide counters between staff and customer and some have toughened glass screens. No reason why MPs couldn't have toughened glass between them and their constituents! Farage is just being Farage, along with a lot of other MPs, because like them, he is just not interested in talking to, in his eyes, the little people! With no job description for MPs, people like Farage can ensure they can get away with 'not doing a lot' for their constituents while their sitting MP!

It all seems rather recent - yesterday yesterday and held lots. Nothing about hold regular surgeries and one anecdote of 243 questions for pensioners. Missed a trick - nothing about boats, asylum seekers getting cars eff off large TVs benefits and jumping the housing queue. Well he couldn’t as they are all lies spread by his flock.

So he wants to count answering emails, as doing surgeries? I mean, i have now had now lived in four constituencies and had six MPs in twenty years I've been emailing or writing to them. Two of them i was deeply unimpressed with. However, both answered my MPs without fail.

When people want Farage do do surgeries, knowing thast someone wants to harm him then all I can say is that you appear to be all lining up and salavitating at the possibility of Farage being murdered. So Prof you know he is in danger but you seem happy to put pressure on him to be in a position where that danger can become a reality. You appear to be some passive/aggressive agitator who will not stop until you get Farage in the sights of his attackers. This is digusting. Shame on you.
