The more time passes, the more we realize how much we miss this wonderful woman, Audrey Hepburn. She's so badly needed today as a role model for young women to aspire to her beauty, charm, grace, talent, and generousity.
1992 - I was a Sailor onboard the USS Tarawa (LHA-1) sailing along the coast of war-torn Somalia, Ms. Audrey Hepburn was doing humanitarian work in that nation. Ms. Hepburn is flown every night by military helicopter and flown back to the shore in the morning. Every night she updates the crew on her work as a UNICEF Ambassador and we're glad to have such a lovely human being with us. Ms. Hepburn has everything, fame and fortune,... but does such a noble work in a remote and impoverished country. Such an angel.

@@rikaugreg you're gonna hate me for this....I have the ship's yearbook and there it is, the article about Ms. Hepburn being on the ship. However, the article did not mention her overnight stay on the ship, but I know for a fact that she did stayed onboard at least for a night. I will take a photo of the article and send it to you via Facebook. I don't have a Facebook account but will ask a friend to do that for me.
She was an angel on earth who has now returned to heaven such a graceful beautiful kind caring soul such and amazing role model especially for young girls may she rest in peace fly high angel
I can't even imagine how hard it was for the family, I miss her so much and I never even met her, how hard must have been to people that lived with her everyday, the hole she left in this world is enormous, the world is not the same without her so I can only wonder how their life changed forever after losing such a lively and lovely person so young. I really hope she was right, when she said people from the other side came for her, her light is too important to simply vanish. I love you forever miss Audrey Kathleen Hepburn Ruston.
That marvellous young woman that stole our hearts in Roman Hollyday is suddenly dead four decades later. And that happens to all of us. Life is just a glimpse.
I'm grateful that you uploaded this candid footage, however there's a serious mistake mistake in it. Robert Wolders was not her lifelong friend , he was her love for her last 12-13 years. They didn't even know each other before.

I never thought it possible, that a person could Love someone that they've never met. Then i saw Audrey, I Learned about her, and everything she had been thru. She has captivated me ever since. I have so much respect for her and her memory. She was one in a million. Maybe Someday GOD Will Let Her Come Back, But For Now, i Believe That She Is Taking Care Of Heavens Children. She was more than an angel. She's Goddess of Beauty and Kindness. Her prime will be alive forever, Always (that "Always" pertaining to Audrey Hepburn's last film role with a bit of Harry Potter reference).

actually here, the gravesite was rather crowded, and tacky. Audrey Hepburn deserved better. those who were so allegedly close to her should have seen to that. they did not.
