Farewell Charlie 

Loved his sign off “I hope you had a good day.” It felt very genuine that you don’t find in the media these days.

I miss you, Charlie. We needed you all those years you kept us so well informed!

WOW, he had such a passion for his job, and at the same having fun with it. All the best to him on his retirement.

Mr. Gibson, you are dearly missed.

I love where he says, "Oh Diane, where's my Diane?", lol.

I was never a Carter fan, I hated Carter, but I loved the way Charlie made that kid's dream come true when he introduced him to the President.

I'll miss him on ABC.

Gibson was frequently mean-spirited and I'm glad to see him go. I felt sorry for him years ago when he started having trouble getting anything right on air. It seemed apparent that he was having some sort of medical problem which was affecting his ability to function mentally. My initial thought was alzheimer's. He seemed to get better but also meaner. A big smile and some laughter does not make up for being an ass. He will not be missed.
