Farewell Fr Jim Grant - Scottish Catholic Style
There was not a dry eye in Holy Family Parish Mossend today as we said goodbye to Fr Jim Grant after 23 years of fruitful ministry as our Parish Priest.
After a moving reflection at the end of Mass, our choir struck up a bespoke Scottish song to wish him goodbye and all the best.
Fr Grant said that when he arrived as parish priest in 1995 he was aware he was walking in the footsteps of giants. Well we can all safely say that there has been no priest in recent times who has made such an impact on the parish life of Holy Family Mossend.
From his prayerful ministry and liturgies to his archetitural taste and care, Holy Family has been richly blessed and he leaves the parish community in good stead for the future.
