I've read on tv tropes that in the ending of the novel the mc's suicide attempt failed and he survived, but the friends never met again after the incident though.
@@Basel-iv7zuwell i just finished reading and he didn't die, in the end he did kind of did the throat thing but it was a prank idk he said that he wouldn't die for love, it was a "happier" ending
