Damn that end was emotional, absolutely loved this video mate, it’s a great send off to thomas for you, and I’m glad you enjoyed it while you did. I wish you all the best in the future! Thank you for everything 🙏
after watching this video. it makes me realize on how much Thomas was important to me through the years, from my childhood years to my teenage years. I'm 19 years old, and I have stopped being part of the Thomas community since the start of this year. I may not be apart of this fandom anymore, but I will always be proud and happy to have had this show with me all the years
38:23 If you said that on Twitter, fans would kick your ass. I'd back you up though. You're right, fans take the new stuff too seriously all because of people following the general perception of the well known Thomas RU-vidrs. I'm glad you're able to voice your farewell to Thomas as moving on from something to focus on your own life can be difficult but congratulations on getting engaged and soon to be married. Thank you for sharing your love for Thomas to everyone. I hope this farewell makes a big change for you. That ending nearly had me in tears. Overall, well delivered, very honest and an amazing video talking about your marathon experience. Great video and I'm glad you kept your views clear, constructive and simple. I hope you enjoy your future with your wife and live your life to the fullest. Thank you, Gondarth. 😢🖤
Great video and good luck to your marriage life, but hey when you do have a kid of your own you can show him/her your old videotapes of Thomas and the fun memories will start again. :)
You've Been Watching Thomas And Friends For 28 Years I've Been Watching Thomas And Friends For 30 Years. I Understand You're Getting Married Well Congrats Mate.
I first watched it when i was 6, shortly after it premiered in the netherlands. It is, along with SpongeBob, Postman Pat, Fairly OddParents, Bob the Builder, Sesame Street and Powerpuff Girls (RIP 2000-2013 for the dutch dub of that last one), one of my most treasured childhood series.
Farewell Thomas the Tank Engine we had a good run thanks for all my childhood memories you really got me in to steam locomotive but I will never forget my childhood memory they will stay close to me forever I know I will pass my childhood memory on to the next generation youngster
Been a good journey hasn't it? Thanks for the multi language series. And good luck with married life, I'm headed that way myself within the next couple years.
Even if you never watch the show yourself ever again after this marathon, if you and your fiance (soon to be wife) ever decide to have kids, would you show the series to your offspring? Either through the VHS collection, or through other means?
Ok. I know you said that if don’t take BWBA too seriously, it’s actually good. Which is quite true, but it could also apply to the Miller Era. The Miller Era is hilarious when you don’t take it too seriously. Also, I know you didn’t watch them, but the Miller Era specials are actually really good (especially Blue Mountain Mystery). I feel like you would enjoy Blue Mountain Mystery. I do understand why you would prefer the BWBA intro to the original intro (probably because you have heard the original intro far too many times to the point it becomes annoying). I honestly find the Series 8-10 intro better than the original intro. The reason why we Thomas fans probably hate BWBA is because we kind of take things a bit too seriously. I mean, Wilbert Awdry takes things way more seriously than any Thomas. If Wilbert hates Series 3, then he would of despised BWBA. However, I have to agree that the HiT Era half airings are better than the classic arings. However, I have to disagree when you said Martin T Sherman Percy is better than Keith Wickham Percy. It just sounds better, in fact almost all the CGI voices are better in the UK dub. The only voice I would say is better in the US dub was Victor, but they eventually replaced Victor’s UK voice with his US voice in the UK dub. It’s sad to see that you’re no longer making Thomas content. R.I.P Gondarth with Thomas (1993-2021)
That is true about the Miller era. The writing is godawful, especially with Seasons 14 and 15, but I did have an occasional laugh with the dialogue. That being said, BWBA has a bit more originality than the Miller era, which mostly followed the same formula. Character has a job to do, they do something wrong, they refuse help from other characters 3 times, they get the hint and learn a lesson. Also, Martin Sherman is probably just a personal preference, plus I did only hear him once or twice...
I’ve got some questions for you my good man; 1. Is the marriage the reason why you’re leaving Thomas for good? 2. Reckon the cancelled movie The Adventures of Thomas could’ve made the franchise better for older fans? 3. Even out of curiosity, would you still check the upcoming Marc Forster film if it comes out say, next year or 2023 or will you push it aside like All Engines Go?
1. I've kinda been over Thomas and Friends since 2008, and it's been going down in my list, bit by bit, in recent years. The reboot seemed like a good time to say goodbye. 2. Hard to say, since we know very little about it. I'm gonna hazard a guess at "No". 3. Probably not, no. My life with Thomas and Friends ends with this video.
I Found Out Andrew Also Writed On The Early CGI Fireman Sam Area Aka The Worst Area Of That Show Its Good He Knows About Talking Steam Engines Instaid Of Welsh FireStation Rescuing People
Goodbye Thomas the Tank Engine we go our separate ways now I will go and watch something to do with diesel locomotives instead see whether that is more interesting you'll always stay close to my to my heart. I know it's going to be hard to move on from our childhood memory but it's just time we move on and put our childhood memories away we had a good run Thomas the Tank Engine I know it will break my heart but I will know I will have to go on
I wish Thomas The Tank Engine and Friends would be on Nickelodeon and Nick Jr. Here in The USA More, I would even Love to watch The New Thomas and Friends Cartoon Reboot Series on Nickelodeon and Nick Jr.!😂🤣😍❤️📺🎶🚂🇺🇸👍🏻
@@Gondarth I feel like the reason why everyone is mad over it is because it’s the show current direction. I’m gonna watch the classic Thomas instead, All Engines Go wasn’t even made for me, it was made for young kids. But there theories saying that All Engines Go will fail.
Controversial Opinion: As much as I love S5 growing up, A.K.A. my first Thomas Season. I also love the TATMR-S7 era from the early 2000’s and I think it should end there with a finale movie. I also like it because of the matte point over the models. And you think Paxton reminds you of Ed from Ed, Edd N Eddy? Well for the way his voice sounds, he reminds me of Pinky from Pinky and the Brain.
@@Gondarth While Three Cheers For Thomas is the final episode of the show. I also actually meant a Thomas TV movie finale that can conclude the show and give the characters what they deserve for once and for all. Just like Wakko’s Wish for Animaniacs.
I did own the first 5 seasons on DVD, and if I were still interested in the series, I would've collected everything. I stopped properly collecting after The Great Discovery.
I mentioned it in this video. I haven't watched it fully, I have no plans to, but the clips I've seen aren't as bad as people make it out to be. Just to be clear: This is me saying goodbye to the series, not the series saying goodbye to the world.
Fair question. Truth be told, this could've been released any time between now and October, but I've had a fixed schedule for the past two or so months, so I've got a few videos to release before this, things that have been on the project list for longer than this, so I decided on June 5th since it's the 4th anniversary of Video Memories.
@@Gondarth Ok, that's honestly fair enough, I also have a fixed release schedule for my stuff on other sites, so I can see where you're coming from. Sorry if I came off as abrasive; I'm sure this video will be wonderful, just like the rest of your stuff. 👍👍👍
@@Gondarth having just finished this video, I can safely say that it was worth the wait. Good luck and your future endeavors with whatever media you aim to focus on next, Gondarth. :)
@Joshua W56 They ruined TTTE for the autistic. It's not just low functioning that can benefit from narration. It's kids with trouble distinguishing feelings, like little me.
I don't hate BWBA, but I'm not a real fan anymore. TTTE's my childhood and I got nostalgic last month due to stress from corona and my mom not being well in a painful not contagious way mashed up with a political cartoon with Henry an FB friend sent me. I knew only the model era until last month.
I get that. I was like that myself. This was my first time properly watching the series in at least 13 years. My childhood was the first 5 seasons, mostly, before Cartoon Network took centre stage, and the last 4 or so seasons I barely knew.
@@Gondarth I discovered the series when my family got a VCR TV and I got videos from my childhood church library. So I was 4 or 5 when I found Thomas videos. Then I got 6 books based on Thomas and they mentioned the show Shining Time Station, my favorite TV show when I was almost 6. I was past my 8th birthday, but not 12 yet last time I was a real fan. Due to my trouble distinguishing feelings when I was very young, I'm unsure if it was the colors that drew little me in or if I thought the characters were cute the first time I saw a video. All I know is I saw a Thomas video on the rack in that library I speak of, picked it up, took it home and played it. They had 13 videos total by the time I was 6 and I played them all. I got my own copy of Percy's Ghostly Trick, so I own 7 Thomas things. Kids sometimes can't give a reason why they enjoy what they do and that's why all I can say about my peak fandom is I loved it. I'm better now at distinguishing feelings.
Also no matter how many times people beg for Mattel to cancel AEG they are still not going to listen. But on the bright side at least we have fan content to enjoy.
