I'm so grateful you documented market village, it's a place of my childhood and when my parents immigrated it was the few places where they felt a community. xoxo
Thankyou for sharing the final moment of Market Village! I remember when I first immigrated to Canada, Market Village is the biggest Chinese plaza among others. My family used to dine in Chinese restaurant and hang around in there during weekend, and alot of other good memories.
Wish I had visited before it closed down. Kept telling myself that I would go to take pictures but never happened. Still remember when they had the LongShong cinema and the Canadian Tire across the street. Wasn’t old enough to remember what was now Pacific Mall though.
I think pacific mall was just pacific mall when it opened. Wasn’t anything else before. I believe Market village before expansion was originally a barn or garden centre... long long time ago
it was actually just a empty space with one section being held for materials before it was constructed. Pretty sure you were talking about Cullen Country Barns. (Pacific Mall was built on the Barn)
