@charlesoneill2870 I can give you a couple of names if it helps, Graham Taylor, Mike Webb and possibly Mike Hill. Suspect Mike Webb was the one to give the cheeky salute at the end, it would certainly be in character. I flew there from 79 to 82 and the other pilots in the formation would have joined after I left.
