Farhad Shafa was born in Tehran but came to the United States after he finished high school. He completed his PhD in Neurophysiology at John Hopkins. He went back to Iran where he became involved in translating books by Meher Baba and other activities centered on Meher Baba. Due to a medical emergency, Farhad had to leave Iran again. He settled in Walnut Creek where Murshida Duce accepted him as a student and he begin a rich and satisfying lofe in the loving embrace of Beloved Baba's Sufism Reoriented.
