Another great video Bill, thanks. The xBITX looks to be an amazing piece of equipment. Farhan did seem enjoy going back to the other end of the scale, when tuning CW with the permeability tuned oscillator. With you having mentioned Radio Marti a few times on 7335, I wondered if I could receive it here in Western Australia. Indeed I can, at the right time. I have a small Sangean receiver. It has digital tuning and also SSB, for when I need that. I tried tonight at 6pm, which was half an hour after sunset. I could hear talking but not very good. I then used the same quarter wave length of wire you used on the school DC receiver. It came in good, sounding like Spanish but a lot of static. Checking a bit later the static was mostly gone. I could hear it clearly. I confirmed it was Radio Marti by using an app on my phone to listen to Radio Marti. Listening to both at the same time the radio was about 3 seconds behind what I was hearing on the phone. It's now coming up to 9pm and I can't hear Radio Marti anymore. Regards Trevor.
Congats to Ashhar , his brilliant country was able to land on the moon before even the Russians ! Obviously smart engineers in India, I love the sBITX, it has EVERYTHING you would ever want. Back up the Microsd card in it and your good to go. And I'm sure its VERY easy to upgrade its software.
Now Bill, you blamed the power going off on the fuse in your power supply, but I’m thinking maybe that was just a coverup for your automated search and destroy system that disables radios that have too much digital/computerized circuitry in them when in your shack. Am I right, huh? 😂😂😂 73s
