Great first day out with the Manticore ,pity the vid ended before we knew what was in the last hole😂 Just subscribed and looking forward to your next vid✊
Hi Mike!....yes, a flipping disaster at the end! It was a small piece of flat copper and then a summary of the Manticore but it cut short! 😆 Thanks for the sub. I really want to get to grips with the 2D trace. 👍🏻
@@discovermetaldetecting I’ve had mine since January, it took me a while to get to grips with it , but can honestly say the best Detector I have used and that’s including the Nox and my back up detector Deus2. Still lots to learn but loving the journey ✊
Thanks Kurt....you won’t be disappointed! It’s a totally different machine to the 800 and will be a bit sparky. Don’t lose hope and get frustrated. I’ve done some more footage of the trace screen with some more finds. Just need to edit and post it! 👍🏻
I understand the wish to not dig rubbish like iron nails, wire etc. However, how do you know that there is not something else buried under or next to an iron object. Is it not beneficial to dig each signal just in case there is something valuable hidden by the noise of an iron object.
Hi Kev. It’s a great question and I agree, the only way to be 100% sure of anything is to dig every target. In reality, with the time we have, digging efficiently is key. The Manticore is amazing at showing a good target next to iron. With the Equinox 800, I did it by ear. With the Manticore, I do it by ear AND the 2D target trace. 👍🏻
@@discovermetaldetecting I have watched many videos where what has been perceived to be an iron target but have shown to be hidden gems also. I have a cheap metal detector and mainly detect on the beaches, and I am looking at upgrading to something with more grunt. They all look like great machines. Cheers.
@@kevinaldcroft6291 Sounds like you are really getting into things Kev! Take a look at my website discovermetaldetecting.co.uk. There will be some useful information on there if you are looking to upgrade. 👍
