Not sure if this works all the time, but I pause the game just as the new building is almost done, then hire the staff and assign them. BTW had to laugh when you were going on about the worker going to the greenhouse instead of the factory. You had her selected and I watched her go from the housing unit to the greenhouse. You had to wait until she came back to the housing unit again before assigning her to the factory...
just got this game yesterday and i love it. thanks on the fish pond idea. i have 2 ponds organic supplying 4 ice houses with all employees with endurance with there manufacturing all at max. i have my stuff on auto sale, go into your buy sale screen and go to trade and from there you can set up auto sale or buy. thanks fro the videos
It's not optimal but you could possibly force where workers can work by keeping the worker houses far from each other and using their distance limits to keep workers in one zone or another. I agree though, it should be possible to dictate who works where. Hopefully that gets addressed by the Devs. (nvm...I got further through the video and you just mentioned what I said lol)
Too bad this game didn’t come out beginning of winter. I would have loved to play this game. Glad you are playing the game so I can experience it while at work.
the buildings have a scalble radius, so it is posible and very necessary for the logistic building. Your worker crosses half the map to get a truck for a delivery on the other side of the street.
this is what i have been complaining about the lack of controll of your workers i so liked the worker controll in 2018 FM and hope thy will bring that or something better than this in the game
If I seen right, you can freeze Strawberrys too. Would that bring a little extra cash at the end of the month, or would it be a waste of money? Also, when you looking for People you signed on specific taska to relocate them, why not use the Filter Icons? So you would only see the workers with the fieldwork Icon in your list and it would be mire easy to find them, insted of searching the complete list up and down for them. ^^
Yes, you can freeze the berries but I did the math and it seems like you would lose money. So you only get a harvest of around 250 berries every 50 days per greenhouse. The freeze is about a 3 to 2 ration so you only get about 180 frozen berries out of that yield. With the going rate around $25 per kg in the market, you would make $4500 on 180 berries. However, you have to factor in the freezer cost. $5000 per month maintenance plus the 4 employees at an of 1600 per person. In a 50 day cycle, that about 22k in overhead to clear. You'd need to process at least 5 Greenhouses just to break even so it doesn't seem worth the hassle early on.
To have the employee quit a job just go to where they work click on the X above their picture and you can then relocate them, and you can hire them directly from the same place by clicking the assign blank image you will get a Hire option that will put them direct in you factories. "Can't do it from Greenhouses unfortunately"

Yeah, I have been running a lot of test and fish is still the best start. Cheese is a close second but it cost more to start up dairy and It take more animal pens to run one freeze vs the fish farms.
