I spent many many hours on one of these magnificent tractors while I was growing up on our farm. It pulled 2 15 foot disc's one hooked behind the other with a ground harrow behind the last disc for ground preparation before planting.
you need to put that back in the shed before you get dirt on that beautiful tractor that is the nicest looking 1206 I have seen that looks like it rolled off of the assembly line today👍👍👍👍👍
Man o man, dad had a narrow front in on that 12, big tires on the back and pulled that bad boy all over Iowa and Nebraska back in the70’s. Always thought that and the 1456 were the two best irons they ever made. What would that restores 1206 sell for today?
Only on '65 or older 06s with flat tops. I had a '65 1206 with no hand grab hole in right fender. Around the time IH went from decal to emblem badged 1206s is when RH step, grab handle and RH fender hand grab came along on 06s and was new standard from then on.
@@IHOutlaw I have a question for you. We had a 656 on a dairy farm back in the 60s. It came with a radio mounted on the right side fender. I’ve seen quite a few unrestored 6s over the years and none have had the radio on the fender although from what I could see there was holes were the bracket would have been. Do you know if all the models originally had the radio? Thanks and nice video.
@@IHOutlaw thanks very much for the explanation. Maybe it was a used tractor and as I was a kid maybe I didn’t realize. It wasn’t often the old man spent money on maintenance never mind a bit of luxury. Have a good day. Subscribed
