Did 2 acres of weeds taller than the engine today, same B same woods mower. Some of the denser stuff I had to take smaller bites or it would bog the engine down too much, also cuz the mower blades were very dull, but got it done on 1 tank. So much fun! Kinda sad the work is done, cannot wait for another opportunity to mow.
Sometimes I cut the first pass with the mower raised high, then a saecond pass lower. The B works pretty good with a 5 foot mower. I find that if I don't put much strain by cutting too much the belt will last a long time.

For my use I only needed to clip off the top of the weeds, turned our land over to CRP and trying to get the natural Prarie grass and pollinator plants growing. Weeds got out of control because the B was frozen, but finally got it loose and it runs smooth now!
Thanks for showing that. I recently put a Woods 59A-1 onto my Farmall A. The mule (idler) bracket is not as wide as the channel bars from the mower require (about 3/4 an inch short). Weird because it came straight off a SuperA but whatever, I made it work. I’m thinking that the belt (older) may be too loose as it keeps jumping the idlers with anything larger than tall grass or weeds. Heck, you ate right through saplings. Comment? After watching this little tractor handle that tall grass like a champ. It has me convinced to buy the little farmall B I seen on facebook for $1000 it also comes with a belly mower as well
Been mowing with a '41 BN for 4 summers now. I'm really impressed with it handling a five foot Woods mower. I guess I could choke it out, but I'd have to try pretty hard.
