Living vicariously through You Tube I will probably never be closer to a Farmall tractor of any vintage than this one, with that said I thoroughly enjoy your videos and would enjoy a gasket making tutorial. Being of advanced chronology I don't enjoy wrenching as much as a younger me but I still appreciate the skills.

Though you have covered the topic before, it might be nice to do a dedicated gasket/sealer episode (Do it for the children!! :)) that covers your commonly used materials and what is used in specific situations. In terms of sealers and lubricants/chemicals, I've noticed that you avoid mentioning specific brand names (for several reasons, I imagine), but again for the new-to-the-hobby, it would likely be useful to know a general type (e.g., you use regular RTV, or a non-hardening sealer, or nothing, etc.) for common gasket/part joins.

Or you could save yourself some time and effort and just post a link to the video you did on gaskets and sealers.

While I have seen you make a lot of gaskets over the years, I would definitely watch a gasket making video! Your thoughts on gasket materials and gasket sealers would be a great resource. I have made several of my own gaskets in the past, but I am never very confident on which material and/or which sealer to use. It would be great to have a dedicated video as a trusted refrence for my future projects!

A dedicated how-to is a good idea. Like it or not your career as a professional mechanic and your years of hands on experience with crawlers and tractors makes you an authoritative source. You asked for it, YES! Pleas do make a dedicated video on how to make gaskets. I to am an old tractor guy, and now and then I run into a gasket price that will make my eyes bug out, or simply somthing I forgot to order and I don’t want to wait for a delivery. I’m in Texas, not the best or closest place to ring old tractor parts, so I have made a few, but get some varied results, probably due to material selection rather than fit. Either way, please ! Great to see this series. I have fond memories driving my grandfather's H Farmall raking hay when I was 10. He converted it to an aftermarket wide front. Yes please to the dedicated gasket video. I’m working on an old Cub Cadet Original and have one gasket that doesn’t fit. I sealed it with rtv for now but since those two case halves have gears meshing between them, I would feel batter having the gasket thickness between them for that extra peace of mind of gear alignment. And I have to take it back apart anyway to address a bent shaft. A whole other rabbit hole. And premade gaskets are expensive.

Where you don’t have to become a locomotive engineer. My Grandson is a Conductor. Is 21 and made over 150K last year. With only 3 years seniority.
