Farmall Super C Plowing Snow

This International Harvester Farmall Super C belongs to my brother-in-law Jay. We had a lot of blowing and drifting snow after the snow storm last week, so Jay started up his old tractor to plow snow with the back blade. His Super C wide-front is a working tractor that really looks good for the amount of use it's seen in it's day.
I consider Jay's Barn as part of the Country Family Homestead. While not connected to the rest of the homestead, it's only about 1/2 mile away around the corner.

I loved grandpops' Super C, that spring seat was so comfy and fourth gear was so fast. I started driving it when I was 10 or so.

Very cool shots! This Farmall with it's tall and narrow wheels+chains could not get stuck in snow even in 4 feet deep!!!

Sorry man but there was so much wind noise I had to cover it up with some music. You are right though, the sound of an old gas tractor is music to my ears too. I promise the next tractor video will have no music.

Nice video, I have a 53 Super A with heavy bulldozer blade on the front. Love it. Moves the heavy slushy snow we get in central mass. Saves my back. I have a few short videos but not to high quality. Stay warm

Looks good, I can't even get my 1940s farmall A to start when there is snow on the ground but sometimes my 1939 ford 9n will start

OH HOW I WISH I WOULD HAVE KEPT MY 53 SUPER C ROW TRACTOR! I.MISS THE OLD GIRL NOW. I LET IT DID IN THE FIELD FOR A FEW YEARS, AND THEN SHE NEEDED REAR TIRES, AND THE STARTER WENT, AND I SOLD HER TO SOMEONE WHO HAS A BUNCH OF OLD TRACTORS HE RESTORES. WHEN I SEE ALL THIS OLD EQUIPMENT RUNNING IT MAKES ME SAD I DIDN'T JUST WAIT TO KWEP HER HERE WHERE SHE BELONGED. OH WELL! Ceste La Vie!

Good job Please fix a Mirror in front of the driver and fix it higher than your head , this mirror helps to see the rear blade tractor while working and avoid you to turn around , this position will harm your back and maybe causes injuries, so be careful. Remark: You can use a Truck or bus mirror for that not the inside mirror but the outside one which is usually fixed on the door it’s big and can give you a wide rear vision Good luck

Very nice machine! I’m looking at a super C as well. In your opinion, do you think they could run a blower? I live in eastern Canada and that plow would really only do my walkway! Beautiful set up though! Thanks

The Super C has a PTO speed of 540 RPMs. Check what the blower needs to be sure. I think it has plenty of power to handle a small blower but probably not throw wet heavy snow. We used it with a 12" auger to dig post holes for my pole barn and it worked great for that.

Interesting pieces that go in the 2 point hitch to use three point implements. Are those factory pieces or did you make them? My farmall c has three point frame that shoves in the 2 points to convert it
