Farmall Super M-TA on Father's Day | Power Discing. Vintage farm tractor in operation on the farm. Vintage farm tractor in operation on the farm. #farmallfanatic #farming #antiquefarming
Brings back memories, like 1984, disking with a 37 IH disc on some Pick acres back in the day. Pulled it with our 350 Farmall. Still have it, has factory wide front. My Grandpa bought it new in 1957.
First tractor my Dad bought in 1955 was a Super MTA. Used it for everything . Disking, plowing, cultivating corn and beans, in fall put 2MH 2 row corn picker on it. Tractor still out on farm!
I am a green guy and didn’t pass out with amazement. Looked good with red power. We all have or favorite color. We agree to disagree. Good video, enjoyed the discing.
Hoping to see that roll over plow . Our friend Pete was at the RED power Showdown. They must have had a dozen different 826's there . A few were the Demos. I didn't see one 856. Had some beautiful 400's and 450's there as well. Must have been working in the field. Love your videos. Please keep up the good work.
Oh no what happened the last thing I remember was a red tractor. Could it be oh no My John Deere my John Deere. Lol. Like to see roll over plow. Enjoyed your video Gino have a great day.
Looks like the backs are cutting more than the fronts but that's ok. I like to see dirt flying off the fronts because that's where they meet the sod 1st.
You should look into a small nice morris or there were some JD multiple plex it's like a cultivator with roodweeder attached with tine harrows they pull pretty easy they realy level ground and get them weeds makes a good seed bed as well I used them I realy like them I found they are great machinery ti have they sell sell cheap now adays used

I was curious... Are you doing a side by side comparison of chisel plowed/ disked ground vs moldboard plowed/ disked ground to see if there is any gain/loss in yield?
It would be good if you could add an "About" section on your site and link this video as its nice to know what the site is about. I figured it out pretty quick but for some they may think your farming with your equipment. I only watch a few RU-vid sites frequently but do so for information vs. entertainment. I do not have time to go to equipment auctions so for me that's what drew me to your site. I have two farms and both have old IH, Case, New Holland, and Oliver equipment so I am interested in that vintage.
@@FarmallFanatic I meant to post my response on your video "Will the New Steering Wheel Fit on the Farmall 826" I must have clicked on the wrong one. I was just responding to you saying your just Demonstrating how the equipment works. I did not mean your not Farming otherwise. Sony for the misunderstanding.
What kind of power does a SMTA have? Isn't the 400 after the M and more modern? Either way that disk did a nice job on the field, looks like you got it setup just right. (from camera) The SMTA had no problems. You must have a supplier that can deliver non ethanal gasoline because you should be going threw it like crazy at the moment and sitting you sure would want ethanal in your tractors!
Looks like forward right gang has a broken blade 3rd or 4th from center. At least it appears to be. Super MTA can pull a 12 foot tandem disc with no problem
What model disc is that? I have an old model "48" IH that i think has the blades closer together. Maybe 7" spacing? Mine is more of a finishing disc , i suppose.
Sorry Gino. I had to laugh when you got to the part of the field that you crossed sectioned chisel plow. I bet whoever suggested you do that has nothing to say. That was a big no-no as you now well know.
Not a rock in the field. I was watching some poor guy disc with a Super C and all you heard and saw was the disc hitting and jumping off a bunch of hard heads.
Seen some really beat up drag discs at farm auctions over the years. So many broken blades and the bearings are so bad. The guy mentioned that he broke the housing on the bottom of the C where the fast hitch hooked onto it.
i do see him disking , plowing and cultivating but i see no crop videos ........ these small fields have no stubble either .... nothing ..... no crops ..... just weeds .
