my neighbor, alex demarco, had a beaver like that one, but his had a grader blade. about 1978 the men got together to fix up our local cemetery one afternoon. alex brought the beaver. i was amazed with that clutch/ reverse deal operated by your foot. we got a goodly amount of work done. beaver tractors were made the next town over in stratford and i am amazed that there few of them around. the men got together to regrade at the historical society one morning around 1980. we had the neighbors ih 140 with single arm front loader to help. we did more work faster with hand shovels then that 140 could do. that 140 rested in wilson's barn for years afterwards.
my neighbors, the robert and hanford wilsons h ad an outfit just like that.the farm-all a was crank start and the binder was a 1926. the wilsons being good connecticut men paid property tax on that equipement, without devaluing for the rest of their lives. i was at the estate auction, around 1988, and saw the tax records for myself.
