Same! I don't watch the news either because honestly we can't even truly trust the news being told to anyways but yes, this an escape from the real world concerns. Plus, the book or author in regards to the Russian culture or country doesn't mean they relate to what is happening there. Well said Krista! 👏👏👏👏

The scenery at the beginning was gorgeous. I read Old Heart and liked it. All Thirteen was riveting. I liked Dear Edward also. Please tell Jordan Happy Birthday. I hope he is doing great!!!

Ooooooh! The Widow of the South is one of my forever favorites for historical fiction. I was yelling “Get it! Get it! Get it!” when you pulled it out of the LFL. 😂

BookTube is my happy place. I love that the booktubers that I'm subscribed to don't mention politics at all. I don't watch the news, it gives me too much anxiety, so I just stay away from it. I used to watch the news religiously, but the 24-hour news cycle took a toll on my mental health, and I said, 'no more'.

I saw some pretty good books in your Free Little Library. Things Not Seen is really good, it's about a 15 year old but was recommended to me by a 5th grade teacher and it's more of a MG. I love watching your weekend vlogs, you get so much done :)

I hate the news. My mother made Irish Bread because she was from Ireland. It's interesting you found fruit flavors. The only flavor is caraway seeds. But it brings back so many memories.

Cute little libraries. For 4 years I put one in every month and made my homemade book Mark. Now, it does not have many good books. I am wanting to read, “ Dear Edward.”

I used to know ann’s mom I think I mentioned that. It was when she came out with her first book. We used to do stitch and chat together at needlepoint store. They had a discussion signing at time but I couldn’t go. I never read that book I might still own it. I enjoyed dear Edward first in the library book club I started going to the library later did a zoom with author. She was very nice. The book reading now for book club I’m having hard time with The mystery of mrs Christie by Marie Benedict the main library is having a zoom with author later in month but I don’t think it’s about any certain one of her books. Would like to finish book just for that reason.

oh my goodness, divisive comments can be taken by sensitivity to book opinions even. You're so right about topics. There are a lot of booktube channels that talk about politics and though I don't watch tv, I am very up to date about what is happening in the world, but that's not what I watch booktue for. Thank you for that. I get a lot of hate on one book I reviewed and I think people get triggered instead of actually listening to what I said and watching through the whole video. sigh. It wasn't a negative review, but it was a hard read. Love the water jug~!! yay! It was funny watching you thumb through the LFL's. I was thinking, "that book right there. What's that one?" Those homemade pierogies look soo good. There used to be a French (him)/ Ukrainian (her) couple that I would do lunch with about once a week here in Antep. A few times she made something similar called... veranikie? I guess it's the Ukranian version. Since they moved away I haven't had any Ps or Vs and now I've got a hankering.

I don’t watch the news either. I get a bit of current events from what my husband or others share with me. There’s so much terrible stuff and hate going on in this world right now I find it upsetting. I know that I’m turning a blind eye to the realities around me but right now I prefer to fill my mind and heart with positive things and things that make me happy.

I agree with you. I have so many books that I can't possibly read them all but I love them and they make me happy.

I recently ordered a shirt a Paper and Ivy and the shirt is tight and I went up a size. But I'm in the process of losing weight, so I'm good. Was super bummed that a shirt I've been watching wasn't on sale that day, but two days later it was and pretty much sold out. The main shirt I've been wanting. I do watch some news, had to chill on it some because it seems to be overtaken by political news. I don't come on RU-vid to watch politics, so I love your page. I've not unsubscribed, but have stopped watching a few tubers because they were pushing politics, on both sides. I come to booktube pages to see and discuss mainly about books.

I love Botanical Gardens - they are so pretty. You are Blessed to have that near you where you can go and just escape for a morning or a afternoon. I rarely watch the News - Current Events - If I am interested in something than I will read it on my Phone. I have two News TV Stations App on my Phone but I rarely look at them. The only thing I pay attention to is the weather. The first Free Library that you went to is so darn cute and so adorable. If that was me I would have grab some books especially the Dragon Masters Books and there were some other books in the other Free Libraries that I would have grab if it was me. I wish my town had a Free Little Library but they don’t. I love your cozy area of Reading surrounded by books and a comfty chair. Right now I am reading Anne Of The Island by L. M. If I ever start a RU-vid channel the LAST thing that I'd ever bring up is politics! I'm a 40 year old homemaker, no one needs to know my stance on such weighty topics. And I love having a ton of books around! I love the idea of loaning out or gifting books to fellow readers.

I was so excited to see you going to the farmers market. When we went to visit our son there 2 weeks ago we all went to the farmers market that Saturday morning. LOVED the donuts! Found the biggest blackberries there I’ve ever seen! Just so fun seeing where we just were!

I got a ton of shirts from Piper and Ivy! They have such cute designs. I have noticed their fits range quite a bit within the same size though. This is because each different color of shirt is made up of a different percentage of materials. They seem to hold up well in the wash too! 💗📚📖
