Hello everyone!
Welcome to the fifth installment in what I have imaginatively called Farmer Sims Guide To...
In these videos I plan on creating a reasonably detailed guide on a couple of my favourite, and must have mods for Farming Simulator 22...Courseplay and Autodrive.
In todays video, the second in my guide to Autodrive, I show a couple of different methods for creating field access points, and I go through and demonstrate the five Autodrive modes: Drive mode, Pickup & Deliver mode, Deliver mode, Load mode and of course the Unload Combine mode.

Wow, I have used CP and AutoDrive for a couple of years now, unloading just about everything, BUT!!!! Never knew you could LOAD a machine, The things you learn. Thank You!!!!

Very good video and explanations on the various Autodrive functions, both Autodrive and Courseplay adds so much to the FS22 experience, to bad they are not base game functions, keep up the very good work.

Thankyou very much mate! So glad you found them useful! Yes CP and AD are ‘must have’s’ in my opinion, a powerful pair of mods when running in harmony together!

Well Done!! Now I'll have to watch both again to glean all i can from both. Question: have you ever set the unload function to empty to a semi-trailer (lorie-trailer) on the edge of the field. Say for example, big field, you are going to need multiple unloads and it might be more efficient to unload to that big truck/trailer than run back to say a silo? I know course play can do it with the unload combine, if the unloader finds the semi on the edge of the field, but again i think the object to an autoload is to perhaps run the combine yourself. Also perhaps you answered this, but say your unloader takes more time to run back to the silo than it takes for you to fill your harvester tank. is it best to wait for the unloader to get back to the field or can you just pipe out and when it gets back it will come over?

Yup! I certainly have. When I was playing Huron County ages ago and running 5 combines in the very VERY big field, I had 5 unloaders running to 2 trucks with big double hopper trailers (Pacesetters) which were then taking the grain to the silo. Honestly it was kinda nuts, but way good fun. I'm considering doing something like that for the final video that will combine (pun intended lol) autodrive & courseplay working together at their best. Regarding the 2nd question, basically if you 'get out' of your combine while AD is running the unloader, the unloader will stop, it won't stop working, it'll just sit still until you come back. So say your unloader has only just left the field to go to your silo, and you've just hit 100% full in your combine so you've got a good 10 mins wait for your unloader to come back to the field, you could get out, go and plow a field for an hour, then get back into your combine and as soon as you put the pipe out the unloader will come to you, or if you've already put your pipe out, as soon as you get in to the combine, the unloader will come to you. Is that what you needed to know mate?

Thanks a lot for your information. I used a lot of autodrive but only to deliver from point A-B and to unload Only. I will be using it a much better now. Thanks once again.

How do you guys tackle Liming your field with CP and Auto drive. Are you a drive to your own lime station on your farm and or a close like station? Or a Drop some like on the field and have a fill point where you do it manually?

Hello mate! I'll usually make sure I've got a lime tank/buy point wired into my AD network and get CP & AD working together so CP will hand over to AD when it's empty and take itself to the buy point to refill with lime, then go back to the field where CP will take over again. As fields can sometimes drink lime it makes the whole job particularly straight forward :)

@@Farmer-Sim yeah I agree. Lately though, I’ve been real into just getting semi loads of it and dumping it anywhere on the first headland passes and loaded it with a wheel loader. That’s been fun thus far cause I don’t ever really get to use one

Hey Sam! I'm afraid not mate as both Courseplay & Autodrive use scripts, so are for PC only.

Hello mate! I don't think you can select multiple nodes at the same time, but while you've got the nodes visible, if you click on the ? in the top right of the AD HUD, it'll bring up a list of keyboard commands that tell you what key does what. While they're visible you can click on each one and move them around as you see fit.

Hello mate, are you referring to running 2/3/4 tools working a field like combines/planters? Or one combine and 2/3/4 unloaders?

@@Farmer-Sim Hi chap. Thanks for replying. Sorry I wasn't clearer - I meant both, really! I'm an old hand at CP since FS19 but amazingly I've only just discovered AutoDrive! I'm very interested in exploring their interaction, with a view to recording a drone's eye view of a big map with big fields full of multiple machines hard at work and roads full of farm traffic; apart from being an interesting project (I love scripting) I think it would make a great promotional piece for both mods and for the game itself. Edit: In that respect I've begun the search for a suitable map. Not too easy, but not too restricted, so UK locations are off the board for the first attempt at least, much as I'd love to use Court Farm as I live 20 mins away from it!

Can anyone tell me, is there a mod for PC that auto centers your fp view in cab? I'm coming from Xbox so idk what can be done on PC. Thanks

Hello mate! No I don't believe there is. There's a must have mod called realistic cab view: www.farming-simulator.com/mod.php?lang=en&country=nl&mod_id=225764 which allows you to lean forwards or backwards to provide better views while driving/reversing, but I'm not aware of one that 'auto centres' your in cab view every time you return to the cab. There is an in-game setting called reset vehicle camera that remembers the camera position when you exit each vehicle. If you always turn to the centre before exiting a vehicle, when you return you'll be in the same position...if that makes sense?
