I know this is just the second season but this show is never going to have the success of the Aussie version if they don’t do a better job with casting. They need to make sure the farmers really want a wife (Ty??) … and the women are in a place in their lives and careers where they’d actually be willing to relocate if they fell in love…..otherwise what’s the point. Most of all they need to stop casting women who just want to look cute on camera (Joy!!).
Sorry I wasn’t able to remote in this week. Here are some of my thoughts… Ty definitely does not want more kids and the “for now” comment by Melody seals their fate and he will not choose her. Side note… as a former figure skater I have to say that spin was on point, great spin without traveling. Brandons visit at Graces went well. They seemed to be pretty close and comfortable with each other. I like Grace for him so I hope she can accept the challenge of moving away from family and being in such a remote place. Mitchell and Sidney…. The home visit went well and I think their compatibility is the best of the whole show. That being said, Sydney does not come across as someone who is ready to settle down. She actually doesn’t even seem that into Mitchell himself, just his lifestyle. I hope he sees that. Nathan and Allie… I felt like Nathan really enjoyed meeting her parents and admired their relationship as an example of a successful marriage. I think her parents helped him see just how great she is. But, I do have to agree with you. When they were on the bench together they were both saying the right things but the romance and chemistry wasn’t there. Maybe due to the cameras? Maybe its just not there 🤷♀️ And finally… yes Taylor Swift did drop an album, TTPD and it has totally consumed my free time this week lol 😊
I agree. Taylor Swift’s new album has totally occupied my week as well!!! I kept waiting for some romance between Nathan and Allie but still haven’t seen any. I think he will probably choose Taylor because of this. I don’t know that Brandon’s doubts about Grace’s ability to leave the city and her family will allow him to pick her and his connection to Emerson seems to be waning.. so unless things change next week, he may end up alone. Ty’s going to be alone. End of story. I’ve thought all along Sydney was the one but their age difference seemed very evident on the hometown date. However I don’t see Mitchell with Kait long term so he’s another one who will probably end up alone. In the end Nathan is the only one I think who might possibly have shot at a relationship.. but who knows!! Hopefully we will get Season 13 of the Aussie version soon.
Ty doesn't want a wife. Grace and Brandon have more of friend vibe. He started off strong with Emerson but did her behavior at family meeting change his mind. Sydney comes across so so young kinda like a romantic buddy but wife? I think Nathan picks Taylor but does she say yes?
Not much from Emerson lately, so I want to see her hometown visit and see how Brandon interacts with her in that situation. I think Taylor would say yes. Even the other women have mentioned how close they seem. Probably the strongest couple in my eyes.
Ty was thunderstruck by Ashley and he genuinely looked shocked and upset when she chose to leave a few weeks ago. He doesn't seem that interested in the other two. Brandon was thunderstruck with Joy. When a man is truly in love or interested in pursuing a woman, they will do whatever it takes to win her love. I am not seeing that with any of the ladies that are left. It seems more like the women are playing a game and not that emotionally committed to finding Mr. Right. It appears that Ty found himself in his commitment to finish out the show, but I doubt either of the two ladies left is truly what he wants. A lot of men look for a Trophy wife and those rarely work out in the end. Looks fade and if you didn't have character, integrity, commitment and love in the relationship, it is just not going to work.
I think you’re right about some people just seeing it through and I am getting that vibe from Ty. I also think Brandon was a little shook from Joy leaving.
Mitchel is Southern born and raised - with impeccable manners. I know his family and extended family and have for many years - he would never show up empty handed and the “yes ma’am, and yes, sir,” just how he was raised. Honestly, I was disappointed and embarrassed for the other farmers showing up to their potential in-laws homes empty-handed that’s just a Southern gesture of good manners and guess it doesn’t hold true for other regions ( and Florida, by the way- is not considered a Southern state by most Southerners - it’s just Florida) I think Sydney is a good match. other than being too young too settle down. I still think he chooses her.
I have so much respect for Nathan. I hope he finds love. He seems like such a good, level headed young man. Unfortunately, I don't think this show was a good fit for him. He seems like a one woman type of guy and dealing with 5 girls seems to have been draining for him. And now he has to break someone's heart ...I don't think that'll sit well with him. Regarding the work/relocating situation for the women, that's what I'm curious about. Where would these women live? Some of the towns are so small that they couldn't even rent an apartment near their man! So are they just going to be unemployed and cohabitate?
I love Nathan - what an amazing young man- genuine and kind and truly believe he wants to find a life partner. Well as someone who has been a bit nomadic and once moved way across the country for love that didn’t work out in the end - (but it all works out in the end someway or another) I would suggest if they do give it a try - get an Airbnb or a month to month short term rental- or be super adventurous and rent a cute little RV and remain independent while continuing to grow in the relationship. I would not suggest signing any long-term leases putting down expensive deposits on apartments & I can tell you for sure that in Tennessee because I moved from Nashville to California ( aka for “ love or something like it - or so I thought) rent is outrageous in and around Nashville. I’m not real sure about Mount Juliet. I’m really sure of it would be do able or not not but some of these farms are large enough that it would allow these girls to rent an RV and maybe live on the property. I don’t know. I just know that they need to have an independent place to live do not, move in and give up everything and their careers even if their career situation allows them to relocate - a lot of remote work now for sure- It’s just a lot to consider. I’m new to this show. I’m only watching or only started watching because again I have a connection to Mitchell’s family. I’ve known him since he was born, I remember when he was born I should say and his parents are amazing. They were high school sweethearts - and he comes from a very loving and well respected family. I was in his uncle Mike’s big Greek wedding - ions ago:) it was great to see his parents make their appearance. They are super kind, supportive parents this I’m sure. He values their opinion- I’m quite sure of that. I also think that it’s crucial to see these potential life partners in real life every day situations see how they react in traffic, if sick, or even in line at a crowded grocery store honestly it’s those little incidents/ situations that tells you a lot more about somebody. I’m sure that will happen but anyway. As I said , I’m a bit nomadic so I would really be completely OK with renting a cute little RV or Sprinter van because I really like the freedom and safety of being able to leave if I need to and equally important wander when I want to :) I really do wish the best for all of these young men and women and with regard to Ty - not really sure this is a good fit for him- but we shall see.
This show does the meeting of the families similar to Bachelor Nation. One good part of this show is proposals are not expected. The guys are chosing who they think will fit into their farm lives, and hopefully continue to progress into a lifetime relationship. I recently heard a podcast with Brooke Wyman from this season. She gave a lot of detail about what really goes on during filming, deleted or edited scenes, down time, etc. It was really interesting. She is dating someone from the Bachelor franchise, but did not disclose any information about the identity. After this week's episode, they all seemed to get closer, and it showed how any of the guys and girls could make it. I guess it will be more confusing once the last girls get their dates.
Some of the behind the scenes information is interesting and surprising. I’d expect them to be spending way more time together since they are all on the farm, but it doesn’t really seem that way.
@@TheGedunk, Yes. They do spend more time together than is shown. Some of the relationships progress more than what is shown, but that's what editing, drama, etc. is all about. There are the producers nudging or suggesting here and there.
Who is Taylor Swift? Anyway, I loved watching Ty at Melody’s home 🤣🤣🤣 He could not have stood out more than if he was in Shanghai. Totally agree with Billy. He’s going home solo after this. Great show again guys.
Ty not going to get a wife. I understand at age 42 he really doesn't want more children. He's not a Golden Bachelor! I like Grace and she would be a great wife but the farm isolation and distance from her family will be a deal-breaker.
I also feel like the show should’ve been more transparent with Ty’s thoughts on children to the women and paired him up with women who are like minded on the children issue. A lot of questions remain about Grace going to Brandon’s farm. Emerson has stated she doesn’t need much, so maybe she’d be a better match.
I think Melody’s mother has a crush on Ty and that would make their relationship awkward. Melody is cute with Ty and has a good attitude but Ty chose too many young girls🤦🏻♀️. Mitchel was super nervous on his date and Sydney seems young but I like her lifestyle and attitude a lot. Remember she said she wanted to travel and be adventurous before a family? Ya, she’s needing freedom and not serious relationship. He needs to up the ante with Kait. Brandon, I really wonder if he’ll find love. He seems to have trouble communicating and connecting with women. Joy just wanted screen time🙄. Emerson is good for the farm but she might not be totally attracted to Brandon after the hot tub date. ? Nathan has good vibes. He seems more compatible to Taylor. Allye is super awesome, maybe gets weirded out by cameras?
It wasn’t that exciting of an episode and they split the home visits into two episodes. It also doesn’t help that they use the same formula for them all.
I don’t see connections with any of these couples. The hometown dates made me cringe. Does anyone know how they recruit the cast? I think if they did open casting calls in different cities they might get a better mix of people who are ready for a commitment rather than recruiting off dating apps and social media
