I worked at Farmfest in Toowoomba in the 80's. I was like a kid in a candy store, and I was only selling chemicals and city-based, but looking at all the machines was enough to make me wish I was a farmer

I never knew about this, I used to go to Mystery Creek in NZ to the field days there. Definitely on the radar for next year. Hopefully you will be there again. Only a couple of hrs from home as well.

Machinery is just about superseded by the time it gets Down Under. New Holland showed a new CR 10 combine at Cereals 2024 in the UK. 635hp (12.9 litre diesel), 16 cubic metre grain tank, 600 mm rotors. I wonder about the seed and fertiliser truck trailers, can they bypass the bottom built-in grain augers, for harvest work to empty into drive over pits or drive over stacker conveyors etc? Other combination options? A faster auger on the air cart ( or separate self propelled auger or conveyor in the field) combined with a plain bottom dump twin hopper truck trailer at seeding (and a better auger/ conveyor at the home grain silos for emptying plain bottom dump twin hopper trailer at harvest) Plain bottom dump hopper trailer can unload one hopper of corn grain in less than 3 minutes with no restrictions (see YT vid: High Moisture Corn Processing 2019 Ford County Kansas) The Queensland Moore belt truck trailer can get 25 cubic metres out in a minute, and could also haul grain, lime, gravel etc, (and one product (fert or seed) at seeding with a rear funnel on the trailer.
