Excellent vid man!, Been looking to buy one of these....you convinced me That looked like some nasty hardwood. Also - it looks like you know how to buck up some wood....as opposed to many other vids of guys who look like they're afraid of their saw...standing 2 feet away from it while bucking.
So what's the major difference other than appearance? One being blue and the other being carbon fiber and white. Does the pro have higher quality parts?
My g660 blew up, the big end bearing on the crankshaft went after one weeks work in oak using 36" bar When taken apart there was a hole in the crankcase area under the crankshaft where the gasket would be so it probably was running lean, they have sent a new crankcase so i will rebuild it
You were running it 50:1, weren't you? Run 33:1 after rebuilding it with a good synthetic oil and tune the carb properly for the mixture. Bottom end likes oil volume, the EPA and environmentalists forcing companies to recommend 50:1 will just mean that even when running it slightly lean, there just won't be enough oil to lubricate properly.
@@em4703 No i was not running 50 to 1 I had broken it in on 25.1 and then when doing the work i have a bottle marked for 25 and 40 and it was in the middle so around 33 as i say there was a hole in the crankcase where it was damaged before it was put together, i dont run 50.1 in anything bud I bought a NWP crank for it but did not fit on one side, even bought SKS bearing for it and you could push it in by hand, measured with a micrometre it was 2 thou smaller than other side and the original crank so i had to use Farmertec, that had me stumped as i was told to use NWP from Ironhorse
@@rgthomson1 Oh crap, a hole from manufacturing, I get it now. Lean condition and all that, ouch. I personally don't like or listen to Ironhorse, his builds seem to be underwhelming in performance, no matter what BBR says, and there were some scandals with his builds blowing up or lacking compression/power, and people paid 600 usd for it, which is insane compared to other well regarded builders. He sure knows how to build a loud muffler, I'd give him that. I personally always go OEM, any other brand is pretty much worse or needs adjustments since they're out of spec (besides Meteor, but they only make pistons).
In sfarsit mult asteptatul versus ... in concluzie ambele drujbe trag foarte bine in lemn mare fara pierderi de cuplu importate (lucru care conteaza foarte mult pt mine si nu viteza lantului) o taietura curata in conditiile unei lame destul de mari de 90 cm nu stiu cum este ungerea dar parerea mea ca un maxim de 70 de cm lama e suficient pt a avea o ungere buna. La capitolul muffler acolo cred ca e marele castig acelasi lucru l-am observat si eu personal pe drujba mea facut identic eliminat definitiv bufflerul lasat toba goala si marit porturile laterale atentie se recomanda ca diametrul gauri de evacuare de pe toba sa fie cu 30 pana la maxim 50% mai mica fata de portul de evacuare dupa cilindru pt un maxim de performanta (putin cam mari dar executate bine ) parerea mea cel mai bine executat muffler mod din ro frumos buffler eliminat complet si corect porturile executate corect in lateral da cel mai bun randament si recomand tuturor ( e suficient dual portul dar acestea sa fie executate lateral pt maxima putere nicidecum frontal ceea ce mi se pare o prostie sau deasupra ca la husqvarnele astea noi asta ca o paranteza.... cei ce vor sa vada un muffler mode corect executat va recomand cel executat de ram) in fine cred ca sa inteles am insistat cam mult pe treaba asta .... urmatoarea chestie observata de mine este acea modificare a cilindrului multi se dau in vant de portare cum spun unii ca daca largesti porturile ai o putere mai mare .... deci nu gresit dar nu total ...si sa explic si treaba asta... ca sa ai o putere mai mare ai nevoie de o combustie mai mare si implicit de o compresie mai mare... tu largind porturile nu o sa obtii o putere mai mare ci doar o combustie mai eficienta amestecul fiind acelasi dat de carburator deci nu se schimba absolut nimic si o evacuare mai rapida sa zic mai completa a gazelor rezultate asta obligatoriu cu un muffler mode executat corect cum v-am spus mai sus.... bun deci in concluzie o portare nu iti aduce performanta notabila sau o modificare de parametrii nu ea aduce doar o eficacitate o circulatie mai buna a combustibilului in cilindru un ciclu complet mai usor rezultat prin o ardere cat mai completa fara depuneri notabile. In concluzie parametrii nu se schimba ci doar apare senzatia aia ca merge mai repede ca la o masina la care faci o decarbonizare practic ea respira mai usor si mai eficient nu rezulta cp mai multi cum cred unii asa si la drujbe .... Cp mai multi rezulta din schimbarea parametrilor de combustie adica un carburator care ofera o combustie majora, un cilindru de un diametru mai mare automat un piston mai mare un ambielaj cu o biela care ofera o cursa mai lunga si alte cateva chestii ca sa no lungesc. Bun acum ca ne-am inteles ce e una ce e alta cei ce aveti drujbe stock si vreti sa o face-ti mai eficienta putin mai rapida fara deepuneri mai sprintena si foc sa o coaca ....asiguratii un muffler mod dual ca cel din video ....care doriti puteti pili foarte fin atat porturile evacuare/admisie cat si cele de transfer pt eficacitate, pt o compresie mai buna fata de ce ofera drujba eliminati garnitura de la cilindru si inlocuiti-o cu una facuta din silicon termorezistent asta ajuta ca pistonul sa aiba o cursa putin mai lunga astfel amestecul este comprimat mai puternic din care rezulta o detonatie compelta o presiune in cilindru mai mare acesta impingand cu putere pistonul in punctul mort inferior si rezultand un cuplu mai bun o tractiune mai buna si cam atat (se poate face si un timing advance dar asta obtional) per total daca tineti cont te tot ce am spus impreuna cu folosirea unui ulei de calitate superioara de preferat ulei sintetic impreuna cu un dozaj nu mai mult de 25 ml/l asta e optim pt orice motor in 2 timpi dar se poate pune si putin mai mult adica mult inseamna 2-3 ml in plus asta numai daca motorul este supus unor operatiuni grele cum spunem noi "forjare" sau daca motorul este destul de uzat doar in aceste cazuri mai putin de 25 se pune doar atunci cand motorul este nou nout si se foloseste la treburi usoare lemne subtini fara ambalari la maxim etc. Sper ca pe multi i-am luminat cat de cat cum sta treaba cu motorasele astea simteam nevoia sa spun asta ca eram satul de cate baliverne se spun pe clipuri. In incheere sper ca nu v-am plictisit si prietenul Ram nu sa suparat pt comentariul asta baban... Poor review. Should have emphasized differences in build. They look like same performance. You pay more for the PRO because of the upgrades you did not even mention in the video. Nor did you give your opinion on anything. Your cuts were not good comparisons either because you had a thin slice short of being the same as the first.
I have milled a bunch of lumber with junk. Obviously $300 doesn't buy a $1500 saw. But after a couple years worth of milling, I got my $300 worth out of it and still milling with it.

When he points the tip of the bar upwards he uses both hands. While pointing downwards usually there is no kick. Not big enough to push a 13kg chainsaw towards his face, anyway.
