Want to compliment you on your selfless attitude, You are a lovely sharing, caring individual! Not hiding and tips or secrets so that anyone can try to accomplish what you do. Always a pleasure to view. Thankyou!!!
Oh Yvonne !! I’ve been sewing/home decor/fashion for over 60 years and thought I knew it all ! But thanks to u and ur channel I’m so inspired to try new things. Absolutely love this video !!!😀
I love that you hand sewed the cushion, it gave it an amazing look that you just couldn’t get any other way. Everything turned out beautiful. Thanks for another great video.
The bench is beautiful. That was not a simple pad for the bench. I had no idea you had such incredible talent as an upholster! I’m very impressed with the outcome of the seating pad. The little stool is also a incredible upcycle. The amount of detailed work you put into it is amazing!! - all those rosettes!!!! I love the look of the rag wreath. Maybe it’s because of the drop cloth, maybe it’s because it looks shabby, I don’t know, but it’s pretty cool - love it!!
Yvonne~I was a little skeptical when you stated at the beginning of the video that we were not using a sewing machine to put the cushion together...but after watching your sewing technique I became a believer in using the drop cloth and hand sewing method with the heavier thread/yard to achieve the "hand-sewn" look. I did enjoy watching you sew and I do like the outcome. Thank you so much for the step-by-step tutorial so I could see all the aspects of the project. I have been sewing for over 50 years and do less hand sewing as I have gotten older. Your technique offers a more vintage homemade look that looks cozier and inviting. I enjoy watching and listening to you and Chris remake some beautiful decor. Blessings!
High from Arkansas. I just found your channel a few days ago, and I love what you bring to the table. I love to drop cloth also. I love drop cloth bows. So, I will add one to mine. Thanks for the great ideas.
And I'd be saying "oh my goodness" too....love the stool! I'm going to have to find one and try this with the rosettes.💚 Love all of your projects and videos. But this stool..."oh my goodness"
Oh my goodness you are a magician with the golden touch! Love em all! Hot gluing or hand sewing a drop cloth or 2 tea towels is the extent of my skills. Sooo beautiful! 😃
Love all of these projects and that little stool is darling and no black spray paint in sight 😄 Love how you distressed that timber on the first piece too
What an amazing video!! It’s very French country….right up my alley!! I’ll be making over three couching that I thought that I would have to pay someone to do! Even better I get to do the make over!! Thank you so much!!!
I really liked the back of that wreath! Maybe do one backwards next time! I also loved the rosettes on the stool! That was very clever! Live your ideas!
I love each of these projects. The little stool was awesome! I enjoy making rag wreaths and get compliments on them all the time. Mixing drop cloth with flour sacks makes a beautiful wreath. ❤
Yvonne that stool with the rosettes 😍🥰I loved it . I also loved the hand sewn cushion, I wouldn’t have thought to hand sew a cushion but it was perfect. Thank you for sharing your passion. You never disappoint 😊
These are all gorgeous. The tufts on the bench cushion really took it up a notch. I love how you did that. The rosettes are so pretty on the little stool and I love the wreath. This video was much different than your others and I really enjoyed it. Thanks Yvonne
I love the new intro to your videos and LOVE your “Bye” at the end !! Just makes me smile 😁😁 Oh my goodness… I need to try those Rosette ! LOVE is an understatement! Then the Wreath.. so funny when you flipped it over to check and make sure you didn’t have an empty spot…I was saying “WOW even the back is awesome “ Then you said it! I love the shaggy look too! I made a huge banner with cotton fabrics for our little Granddaughter’s big 1st Birthday Party. It is so fun to make “rag strips craft”… Oh the Bench … this whole video was grand to watch! I need to place an order for some bigger pieces of drop cloth. I bought a small piece just to see the color! YUP… need more for sure ! Have you made curtains with it? Probably… what a silly question right ? 🤦♀️ That is what I want for my big windows in my kitchen. WONDERFUL VIDEO YVONNE !!!! 🥰🥰
Thank you for noticing the intro and exit. It’s a new year time to change it up. Yes.. I wanted to figure how to hand that wreath backwards.. lol. I haven’t made curtains. I know your surprised. My kitchen ones are a burlap curtain I made into valances. And all my other curtains are white now. And yes.. they’ve all been thrifted and we’re actually new purchase good. Cheaper than the drop cloth. Stay warm ❄️🤍
@@GingerChickRehab NO drop cloth curtains! LOL! When I had my Etsy Shop, I was able to get this fabric that was “ silk burlap”…and that fabric is gorgeous! You have the look of burlap, but soft and drapes so beautiful ( with no smell ) I still have 10 or so yards of it in a shade a little darker than your normal burlap…but I can’t roll it out…5 kitties think it is open season for running all over it…ugh! But I do have 4 windows with that fabric is the little tone and love it ! Washes great . I have had them up for I think 8 years. Yes… love your intro…I even know when the “hey” is coming in the music 😁🥰
