You mentioned arable farming and buying field 1 which I completely support. However, in the long term I think it would be cool to clear the trees on one of the flatter plot of land, and create your own arable farming area. Plow your own field, build a little farm house and some basic equipment. It doesn't have to be huge, maybe you can try out some of the really small scale farming equipment.

There is a TLX modular truck and the accessories ar cheap as chips. Trailer is just a few thousands and you put on whatever container you like. Logs, woodchips, flatbed, tanker, it's all there for pennies.
I'm actually really excited for this expansion. I've always been interested in the logging side of FS but never wanted to divert my funds to get my teeth into it. Being able to start with the big equipment is the selling point for me. Also having a ton more production chains and a goal in mind makes this map really interesting. Can't wait to jump into it this week.
Daggerwin, the problem you're having trying to load the logs isn't that they're too long -- it's that you aren't lifting with the grab in the middle of the logs. You're grabbing either end of the log and it will never balance that way. If you grab it in the middle, it'll balance better and you'll be able to load it easier.
I'm really looking forward to this, i think it would be fun to see you slowly buy, clear and transformer the land plots into farmland. Keep up the good work!
good looking map, not going to lie, NOT a fan of doing logging, but do want to see how you progress. as well, if you completly clear cut "smooth" terrain, you could also plow it up to create additional fields.
Not sure if you know this, you might, you can actually sit in the crane seat when loading logs. Makes it a bit easier. Just cycle camera views to find it.
Just bought it! I didn't get the season pass. I bought the Anthony C pack and the Kubota pack. With this pack I spent the $45ish the season pass would have cost, so...I lost out...Guess I will be getting the season 2 pass. But yeah! I can't wait till this releases for us peons!
I always think it'll be so fun to do logging, and then, exactly as you've mentioned...I'm terrible at operating the cutter, and loader. I've seen some auto-loader trailers, and some wood-chip/grinders that blow into a bed. That's more my speed.
Here is a lil thing that DjGoham mentioned if u are on console (play station and/or Xbox) you ride it 15+ times and get suuuuuuuuuuper streeeeeenth! 😮😮😮 shock horror 😂
Travel speed is going to be an issue. Just interms of time. . Get the planter and throw a few in. Will take some time to grow compared to a field. Big rig trailer on a dolly with tractor to start with. Take advantage of the long log lengths. 0.01c
I really wish they would rescale the fence around the rollercoaster! My only fripe the rest of the map is amazing but that chainlink fence was certainly created by "giants"
Did you just call forward slash a back slash.. ohh nooo 😜 Also a crane control tip, i used to drive cranes real life, before i got farming simulator :D So when i play, in my left hand i have a "joystick" and right hand i use the Farming simulator 2019 controller. Peddals i setup for forward and backware movement. As a result i can crane just as easy and fast as i could in real life.
I can tell that this series is going to be great, you havent done logging in awhile its great to see. Do you use joysticks or mouse controls for the arms ext. Thanks for making amazing content :D

Hi dagger and optimum length for logging is 6m as a lot of equipment is setup for said length and it had one of the best sell prices for whole tree in 19.
Long containers are outside 40ft long, 10ft is 3m, 40ft is 12m. Short containers are half the length, less a little, because you need space between to turn the clamps and fix the container to the container ship.
I find the best control of the harvester is to keep the cutter arm and the chassis of the machine inline and observe from in cab or just above it for the cut. The illuminated ring will tell you when to cut. Best to clear a large area early and replant as it takes a few years to regrow and you need sustainability. Looks like the last saw mill needs long logs so you need to keep taking the short logs to the other facilities until you get a long log trailer (or use the railway). Looking at an income of 100k+ per hour from trees sold as long (20m)logs.(I prefer the lumber jack mod (FS19) where you use a chainsaw for all cutting including stump removal)
I like the video. I think it would be nice to see you make everything for the rollercoaster instead of buy things make it all. That could be the overall theme of the series.
