This Automatic Chicken Coop Door by Farmlite is absolutely amazing. From the strong quality of the door, down to the awesome customer service they provide. This door took me less than 10 mins to install and have it programmed. They offer different settings on how to close or open the door, either timed or by light sensitivity. Hey heads up. Everything i have read on that chicken wire might not be 100% effective vs predator invasions. I think 1/4 inch hardware cloth is the widely used wire.

I’m not sure if I missed something or not.. but after a chicken breaks the beam and the door goes up, does the door continue to try to close after the chicken is gone?

Once to the chicken moves after a few seconds the door will try to shut again.

Personally, I prefer the Hen Hut door because not only is it 65 dollars, but it is also very simple without a cord and reliable.

I’m sure it works just fine. My buddy has one like that and it is cheaper but much less quality.

@@LifeLessOrdinary Yeah, I have tried a few other cheap doors and some of them are made out of plastic and complete trash, but so far this one has been working much better and seems to be built out of pretty high quality metal. It just doesn't feel worth it to pay more money for features you will really only use once if at all, so for me having a simpler and cheaper door works well.

Thew link does not have the same door on it that you reviewed. It actually moves to the side. and while I know you can probably turn it. I do not want to buy it and have it fail and I do not want it moving sideways for several reasons.

Made there yes but sold under an American company which was super easy to work with and the product has been solid. And it does say American owned brand, not made in America. But I understand what you are saying 👍🏼

Same cheap Chinese made chicken door as all the others. They just have American companies slap a name on them and sell them as sold by someone in America. It is NOT made in USA.
