Not sure I’d want to throw the cuteness overboard but she’s gotta be worth a few knots ;) Jokes aside, you’d easily get over 20 single handed plus I assume the crew has gear aboard.
Fred if you sail a F82R you would totally understand my title - the subtitle even explains the title. Send me a link once you have foils running, very interested to see
We've had her hit the magic 20kts 2 sail reaching. Just needs flat water and a good breeze! Don't think I'd want to go much faster without a fence on the rudder; losing helm at 18kts under kite gets pretty hairy.
@@archiebevis3862 Transom hung rudder with a rudder fence. The ventilation problem is reduced with the c-foil but it is not gone. Depends on seastate and balance of the sails. A longer rudder should help! We broke the 20kn barrier this year, 2 sails reaching, flat water and a gust! But no video - so it never happens ;-)
Hi Sam, I create and share my videos primarily for my own enjoyment and the enjoyment of my sailing friends. Within my group we often make humorous claims of the wind speeds we have sailed in, hence my title “Nothing under 20kts”. Further my subtitle clarifies this, cheers
From memory the F82R’s PHRF is .850 . My Corsair Pulse is .800 . Looks like your 51 is North American? Here in Australia PHRF is used for mixed multihull fleet racing and will change based on your past performances. It’s also measured based on sail measurements
