I guess the aluminium shoe is meant to be removed quickly. Because aluminium is a soft metal that will wear super fast, like brass. Also, aluminium is not very flexible. It will break instead of bending. Horse 1: “What are those?” Horse 2: “My new Chinese shoes, they are a new fashion trend.” Lift foot and show off.
If the front part of the hoof is allowed to sink into soft surfaces more force & tension is applied to the suspensory apparatus slowing & preventing the collagen fibres of the suspensory ligament injury to heal.By using a toe width aluminium shoe it provides more surface area at the toe of the hoof minimising the toe sinking into soft ground without all the weight of a conventional steel shoe
