beautiful color! FWIW, our French teacher in high school taught us that the word 'denim' actually does come from de Nimes. Its been 30 years so the details are fuzzy but something about 'de Nimes' being stamped on the crates the fabric came from so people started calling it denim 😁

'Denim' originated as a contraction of the French phrase serge de Nîmes ('serge from Nîmes)

My Airbnb last April was in Richmond-upon-Thames in SW London and lo and behold if I didn't pass a Farrow and Ball store (on the way to the COVID testing centre so I take the damn test so I could on the plane back to Houston but that's another story) and not only did I get to visit an F&B store, the exterior was painted in Inchyra Blue.! And I've seen it in the shelter mags, etc. LOVE that color. I had not considered De Nimes but LOVE it, too. I am totally down with a blue color palette. Houston does have an F&B stockist but F&B is quite pricey and I live a block from a SW store so...I need the equivalents.😉

The entire palette is gorgeous, with numerous options and possibilities. These colors could bring energy or comfort, depending on which is chosen as the primary.

Geez I've been saying the name wrong (De Nimb) lol But thanks for clarifying that. I've been considering this color for my apartment. But my Kua colors are metallic colors. (I suggest that people look up their Kua number with a Kua Calculator on Google and find the colors that are more Feng Shui for their Kua number.) So I might lean toward more gray colors from Farrow & Ball. I might do my hallway and dining wall in De Nimes. Thanks for the video, I loved your opinions on the colors. I did find a great hallway rug that would look amazing with De Nimes. From Joanna Gaines (Magnolia Home) It's a little more subdued in person (Just got my hall runner yesterday) the rug is amazing and super soft! And it's washable too.

Oh, I have to have this color in my life, but I'll have to see if BM or SW can color match it. Farrow & Ball is NO WHERE within 100 miles from me. Edit: Edit: Edit: for those like me I found it. Sorry, Farrow & Ball, but bring me a store. The color match is Sherwin Williams Labradorite

Thank you for this video! How does De Nimes look in north facing rooms? This bedroom only has a patio slider for natural light, no other windows.
