I definitely prefer the pre-recorded content to the livestreams, tends to be a lot more humour and much better paced, carry on with the amazing work raptor!
As someone whos worked on a lot of farms, this is actually incredible the amount of knowledge and detail it understands about real farming and survival
This game is made by Crate Ent. Same makers of Grim Dawn and I poured over 400+ hrs into that game. Ive never played a sim game before, but I might try this out just to support this company. Kudos to these guys on two great games and I look forward to a Grim Dawn 2 in the future hopefully.
@@philippuhl4460 who is Zantai? Grim Dawn and Farthest Frontier were made by Crate Entertainment..unless I am wrong. And do you have a link to that source so I can read what they said? Thanks!!
@@diversitycandle5708 Sorry, should have explained a bit better I suppose. Zantai is an employee at Crate (Designer) and he usually does the showcases, he did it for GD back in the day as well as now for FF. Head on over to crate entertainment's youtube channel and look for the video 'Farthest Frontier - First look'. The statement I was referring to is made in response to a question from the chat at 1:37:55. Cheers
I'm glad games like this are still being made, because Banished was one of my favorite games - it's unfortunate a sequel was never made/the original game just stopped being worked on.
As if, lol. Banished also mostly stole. Original ideas in gaming are nearly dead since quite a while. Want proof for my claim? People love a game where you have to be an UPS driver because it's "creative" (Death Stranding). That's how dead gaming is. And now we have this.. Like number 1000+ of city builders. Wow. So much originality.
Somehow this was recommend to me, dont know you, never heard of the game, but this was lovely to watch, very informative and you have a nice style of explaining and narrating. Well done! Might look into this game now, and your channel. Cheers!
SO happy to have come across this as I just sat down and felt like no game I have available at the moment really hit the spot. Was just about to launch Banished but just didn't feel like it. This looks like such a leap forward and I can't wait to give it a go! Thanks for the great content and introducing me to Farthest Frontier! :)
I've been eyeing that game for a while--not sure if it will ever come to fruition but the dev is truly passionate about it. Seems a bit overtly fixated on visual details which as a designer I can appreciate but sounds like the latest adjustments to the game has broken the AI and various other core components. It looks absolutely stunning but I'm not confident in their ability to finish the game. Hope they do though, but this game, this game looks phenomenal and I get to play it in 12 days!
The "fish deposits" reminds me of my youth as a goldfish miner. I was a minor miner. Not much luck with silverfish mining, however. Now, of course, goldfish comes in cracker form found conveniently at your local supermarket.
Im really looking forward to play this game! It looks great and feels realistic. The field management and the amount of time it takes to get fields ready just blow my mind. Well done Crate Entertainment and well done Raptor for another great playthrough!
Yaaaaaaay I'm so glad you're making this into a series instead of streaming it. I've got a toddler and another on the way so it's very difficult to watch the streams but now I can watch while the child naps! I was hoping you would love this enough to make this into a series 😅😅 thank you
When u build the fence around your crops make sure u put a gate in or u will not be able to tend to the crops and anyone in the crop area will starve to death as they will get trapped in the gated area! I ran into that issue twice before realizing I needed the gate lol!
This game is excellent for us urban architects, it helps us understand the relationships between each variable in the urban environment, it should also be of use to politicians who have no idea how to sustain a city.
Farthest Frontier is one of the very few EA games worth getting rn. He has a solid roadmap and release date planned. it's the Grim Dawn developer they will deliver a solid product that is fun. I will be getting this game.
This game looks very promising! Crate Entertainment made Grim Dawn and that game has given me MANY hours of fun! I would LOVE to get a key to this game!
True. When was the last time it took you a month to travel from work to home? Walking is a very slow pace and they will never have motorcycles, or fast cars either.
The art on just the main screen of the game made me interested in it. I like the sound design and music a lot, chill and relaxing. It's going to be interesting to see what more they add to the game in the future. I wish i could get my hands dug in the game but i'm looking forward to checking out this serie to enjoy the game while i cannot play it.
super sweet game, a must have. love playing banished. awsome graphic.. keep up the good work can i build a round city?,house in free angle or only by gridsystem
The grid system is an attempt to fashion a city by spacing, but not all buildings in early game and later will fit within common grids most players use. After gaining a few tiers they discover things have to be moved around to make space and group various structures together to improve production, horde resources, and fend off raiders better.
I really love this kinds of games and this game also looks really good. The only problem is I have a ultrabook and pretty sure this game might not run on it properly so can anyone suggest games similar to this which I can play.
You are likely correct about books being a tad slow and under powered in various ways. My custom built PC with high frame rates still pauses from time to time, which can get on my nerves.
I’ve scoped out so many games because of Raptor. Y’all already know. Also I’m curious to know, will there be a gameplay review of SOD2 when their giant update drops? I’ll be all over it like a hound on a pork chop myself, but I thoroughly enjoy watching Raptor bringeth forth the glory of Raptoria to that game too.
"Death is rather uncommon in this game". In my first game one of my villagers instantly got killed by a wolf (no way of rescuing her fast enough) and in my first winter half of my village froze to death because I didnt have enough firewood obviously :D
LOL, I know those disasters and a few more. Basically it seems to take at least a dozen bad starts and disasters played and abandon before a player/god gets a handle on the process and how to avoid quick disasters programmed into the game.
I have so many games like this, so not sure on this one yet. It looks cool from what I've seen, but I'll have to watch a few videos before I decided on this one.
I literally bought this game just because of watching you Raptor, play this and I absolutely love this game. So far it’s my favorite settlement survival type of game! 😎
Well, that could be an issue, but I was thinking about other problems like some troops experienced during Desert Shield and Storm eating unwashed with a little bleach vegetables grown in human and animal waste with minimal processing.
I am hoping the makers of this game will make better animations as the game continues in popularity. For example, when the villagers build a new house/shelter, they first put up a timber frame, but it turns into a log cabin. The animation for a log cabin would be different, and the next upgrade would be the timber frame that is normally skinned with something like logs cut into thick planks. The Amish still use timber framing and skin it with thick planks, or boards. Part of the reason their homes and barns stand up to strong winds and storms.
love the look of this game would have never heard about it if you did not have videos on games like this they are always fun and enjoyable after a long day
