Wtaps is my new favorite brand! I feel like they are so good at the minimal vintage military aesthetic but are able to keep things interesting, as well as having some of the best crafted staples.
I remember the MIHARA YASUHIRO old school design from my 2016 Japan Fashion tour. Are they still made? Are they sold in the west? Would love to rock those, and can finally afford it.
-Undercover had universally the best 2023 runway show. -Junya Watanabe is the best designer of 2023. -Setchu, a Yeezy alumni, won the LVMH Prize. -Peter Do leading the conversation for the best emerging designer in recent years. -Mizuno and Saucony are on a roll this year. People are actually buying. -Asics and HAL Studios had the best shoe collab of 2023. -The Casual, Keezy, and Jacob Starr are the best fashion youtubers in 2023.
It's not fair to call Adidas the brand of the year just because of their exclusive collaborations; those aren't seen on the street. Unless you live in a wealthy neighborhood. Most of Adidas' general releases were disappointing, especially those in the Boost family. Maybe some Campus here an there, and the good old Sambas but these are just retros.
@@hansmagnusdahl2457all the kids remain with their J1/J4/Dunks especially 4s. In Europe, NBs and Asics. Is not that Adidas doesn't have its share though. I see Adi2000s since last year and the Sambas.
I basically see RU-vid influencers showing and buying Adidas Sambas, but that's not what I personally see on actual people's feet. Maybe it's regional. Plus, I'm female so maybe it's different. But, I also notice what sneakers males are wearing when I'm out and about. Now, to throw on my Nike Jordan 1Elevate Low SE sneakers and get out and about to do errands. I have that model in a variety of colors as I can always count on them in a variety of footwear situations. I do have one pair of Adidas, but they were from the Thebe Magugu Collab of 2022. But, I don't wear them that much as Adidas, in general, just don't seem as solid on my feet as my Nikes. Greetings from Los Angeles
